I think this is impossible to find. I can only find some blankets that are linen blends which always have the backing material (the material that you actually sleep under that is in contact with your skin) as 100% cotton. I purchased a Casaluna Linen Blend Duvet Cover and it is great. It looks so beautiful and it really does look high end (HINT: it is not). However, for me it is comfy only when I flip it to the linen side down. The cotton just gets too hot. And the damn this sheds, pills and creates a TON of lint. I could honestly fill up a garbage bag with how much lint has come off of it. After washing, there are fuzz balls everywhere, all over it. After drying..... they are still there yet the lint trap is full and I even clear it out once midway thru the dry. I thought maybe it would slow after a couple washes but nope! I am well over 10 washes and still nonstop. The single most frustrating/annoying piece of bedding in the world. Okay. Rant over. But before I stop, DO NOT BUY THAT PRODUCT! lol. I love the feel of the linen side. I have Parachute linen sheets and I love them so much more than cotton. Now I am looking for any sort of 100% linen blanket that isn't so damn expensive. In reality, I will likely just have to bite the bullet and pay for the quality. I'm already convinced it is BIFL so I should just get over it and stop being a cheapass ;)
With that.... does anyone know of a king size 100% Linen blanket of any sort that is under $200?!?!
This one intrigues me. I know it is the blend but it may be worth a shot. Just wondering if the backing is a low thread cotton making it more breathable than the Casaluna sateen weave: https://www.target.com/p/chambray-yarn-dye-stripe-duvet-sham-set-threshold-153/-/A-54164614?preselect=54138089

Hi all!
I’m going deep down the rabbit hole of upping my bedding game. I’m just now looking for a duvet cover. After researching between Linen vs Cotton, I think I’m siding with linen, but having troubles with a quality brand. Brands I see highly recommended then start deep diving into unravel bad reviews and stories. I’d say I’m looking for a quality cover with around a $300 budget but definitely flexible.
Brands I’ve looked into:
The Company Store: heard quality may be worse since accquisition
Quince: Heard some of the sheets have had issues with holes early on, but I’m looking for a cover so maybe less of a worry. Also heard about a lot of early shedding
Magic Linen: Seemingly good so far but heard they don’t get as soft after washing?
Bosker: Not a ton of info I’ve found here
If anyone has tested any of these brands or compared them I’m all ears! Also open to any other brands I haven’t looked into yet, thank you!
Hey Everyone,
I am deep in the rabbit hole of linen sheets. What do you think is the best linen duvet cover out there for 1) budget and 2) overall best.
I just purchased a duvet and sham cover set in dusty blue from quince. Color was not as advertised but the quality is good. I am considering reordering in another color but I am not sold on any of theirs and I’d like to explore other options. They were 170.
Please let me know what you think is the best for budget linen duvet cover and also just the best overall. I really don’t know too much about what makes them worse or better.
(Also I am looking for a lightweight duvet recommendation for a hot southern temperature posting another for that if you want to see it)
