It can be split screen or pass and play, we’ve been playing game of life recently but wanting more similar games or just anything really.
Preferably cheap 😭

It’s my husband’s birthday tomorrow! Bought him a ps5 awhile back. Going to buy an extra controller, so we can spend quality time together. I’ve been so busy lately, that he hasn’t gotten much attention (haha I bet he begs to differ, I don’t leave him alone if he’s around). But I don’t game. I am a tv girl. The game has to have a plot.
He’s recently been playing this medieval game where he makes potions, gathers flowers, etc. I like that one a lot!
I liked watching him play cyberpunk. Love the themes! Very fascinating.
He played the battlefield trial game yesterday? Idek. I wasn’t a fan. Too chaotic.
Any ideas? Also - he has to be able to play it himself when I inevitably quit.
My wife isn't the kind that is into videogames at all, she spends most of her free time on tiktok or binge-watching netflix. But since we recently bought a PS5, well, I've been having a blast with it (FF remake, FFXVI, Stellar Blade, Returnal and yesterday I just started playing The First Descendant), however the only thing my wife has played so far is Ratchet and Clank and well... the whole platformer thing is pretty complicated to her, she's barely ever used a controller in her life so she's pretty clunky and has a really REALLY hard time grasping simple things like jumps, aiming to shoot, dodging damage and just moving the camera around. I had to set up R&C at the lowest difficulty for her so she's immune to enemy damage, and she still manages to die becuase of platforming and/or gets lost without knowing what to do. Thing is, I can tell she's making an effort to play games with me, and I absolutely love that she's trying, heck she even wants to buy a pink controller for her to use, however I just fail to see what game we could play multiplayer that we could both enjoy and that she won't feel bad because she's not good at it. So, what games would you recommend that we give it a shot? I want her to enjoy gaming, even if at "low" complexity at first. The point is for us to have fun together, solve stuff together, work together and who knows, maybe with time she'll get to enjoy gaming more and actually be my duo.
Edit: Thanks a BUNCH for all the input given! I talked with my wifey about this post and she was flabergasted with how many options were put up. Here's what we're gonna try:
-
It takes two
-
Diablo 4
-
Sackboy
-
Try and look for a LEGO game we both might be interested in, im leaning towards Harry Potter
Regardless of these 4 ideas, with so much input I've already got a LOT to try, even if it isn't what I already listed above. Once again thank you all!!
Fam, are there any cool games to play on PS5 with my girlfriend?
PS: She is not going to play sports or any violent shooting games.
What do you guys think is the best co op game on ps5/ps4? For me it would be helldivers 2, also because of the added crossplay option. But the gameplay is just so good in my opinion
Hey! My girlfriend and I are looking for some fun PS5 games to play together as a couple. We’re open to anything—co-op, competitive, or story-based. Thanks!”
My husband and I both play video games and want to find an engrossing game to play together. We each have a PS5 and wouldn’t mind having to play online with 2 consoles/screens. Please help!!
We’ve already played It Takes Two, Split Fiction, Unravel 2, etc. We can’t find anymore engrossing split-screen games so online multiplayer it is.
We tried playing Baulder’s Gate 3 and didn’t like it (not DND players, tough to understand).
I looked into Ghost of Tsushima but the main story isn’t multiplayer :( but that’s the type of game we’re looking for!!
My favorite game is Witcher 3. His is RDR2.
Please recommend some good online games with a good storyline and open-world combat for us!!
Thank you :)
Hey im looking for a game that me and my gf can play together looking for more co op games than anything willing to try any game to play with her
We just finished It Takes Two together and I'm interested in looking into a few more, but I understand the market is not particularly large for best experienced split screens. I know she prefers cozier games and doesn't like the likes of roguelikes (much to my dismay,, RIP to the Binding Of Isaac/Cult of the Lamb dream). I have a list of options right now but any other options i'm not considering would be nice!
Top contenders:
-Split Fiction
-A way out
-Stardew Valley
-Don't starve together
-Unraveled 2
-Overcooked 2
-Moving Out
I have a few maybes like xbox exclusives such as halo and gears of war, but they're hard maybes. Some good options like Portal 2 we've already experienced. Thanks for any help!
My and my friend both own PS5's, and we're looking for some fun online co-op games to play. Some of our favorites are Sea of Thieves, Fall Guys, Stardew valley, and Minecraft. Any recommendations?
typo in title. Looking for two player co-op games, not best two
My fiancé has been a causal PlayStation fan for a few years now. She had a PS4 and was glued to Until Dawn. Since we split the cost of a PS5, both our interests have skyrocketed. We are currently looking for some games we can play together.
Games that we have played:
-Grand Theft Auto V campaign.
-Detroit: Become Human story.
-Beyond: Two Souls.
- Until Dawn story.
Games on our wishlist:
-Stardew Valley.
-Untitled Goose Game.
Games we've heard of:
-Unravel 2.
-It Takes Two.
-Portal 2.
Any other games that would fit well in this list?
My gf and I just finished Split Fiction (and I’m heartbroken about it). I wanted to start doing some research on games we might enjoy in the future that have strong stories or really fun gameplay.
They don’t have to be co-op. If it’s a fun enough game to just pass the controller back and forth, that’s not a problem at all.
I just wanted to hear what everyone’s absolute favorite game is for a situation like this! She’s a fan of mystery and adventure. I’m a fan of pretty much everything.
Side note: I’ve had It Takes Two and A Way Out downloaded, so those will be played eventually.
Edit: Some other games we enjoy playing together are Mario Kart, Overcooked, Smash Ultimate, Moving Out, Fall Guys, Super Mario Bros, occasionally Fortnite and Hogwarts Legacy, and Unraveled 2.
What are some fun games I can play with the GF?
We’re transitioning from Switch since we have the itch for more open-world adventure games. Zelda TOTK really started that itch for us. A different genre, but we’ve also loved It Takes Two.
We think PS5 seems to have better games and more visually stunning. Single player is fine too but 2player couch coop (or cross play with PC) would be ideal!
Any farming-type game might also be good. She’s loved Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Everafter Falls.
Some of my own ideas that may be fun (input would be great)!
Baldur’s Gate 3 or Divinity Sin 2: I think she’d love the worlds/stories as well as the decision-making and flexibility of everything (instead of it being linear).
Red Dead Redemption: She’ll probably have a lot of fun but not sure how long it might last.
Witcher 3: She’s binging the show now so she’d definitely be interested. I’m a little worried it might be a bit too complex (e.g. crafting). Not saying she isn’t capable, but she might get bored if there are way too many things to keep track of. Though who knows, she might actually grow into loving it!
Thanks!
Hi everyone,
My boyfriend and I want to start playing a new game together. But we have no inspiration and do not know where to start. Do you guys have any suggestions for us?
We like games like, Baldurs Gate 3, Call of Duty, Witcher 3 or Halo.
We have 1 console so it must be a game where splitscreen is an option and not only online like Avatar the Frontiers of Pandora. (We wanted to play this one but realized you can only play together online😭)
I’m really curious if you guys have any suggestions and also thank you in advance! 🤩
Title says it all, I wanted something to play with my GF or brother when its a chill day, all i have right now is Overcooked All You can eat! Would be nice to hear some other ideas y'all have in mind! As long as its easy to learn and fun!
Already tried overcooked 2 and a way out she likes those two , if anyone knows anymore games like these two please let me know .
