Replacing my cabinets, and unfortunately due to some old house / window alignment issues the new sink cabinet can only be 24". At the same time, I really don't want to downgrade from our existing sink - and a 22x16x9-ish inner bowl is basically the size we already have and are happy with.
As an example, https://www.ruvati.com/products/ruvati-24-x-20-inch-drop-in-16-gauge-stainless-steel-rounded-corners-topmount-kitchen-sink-single-bowl-rvh8014 is almost exactly what we want. I tried it out, and it fits perfectly in the 22.5" inner cabinet width.
The only problems are:
The clips that hold the sink down aren't usable, as they literally won't be accessible. They can just be bent/clipped off on this particular sink if needed. but...
Because this sink has raised edges rather than sitting "flat" on the counter, just gluing it down w/ weight isn't likely to work well.
On the other hand, I can find lots of "offbrand" sinks on Amazon like https://www.amazon.com/KINKIB-Topmount-Protective-Overmount-Stainless/dp/B0BGXR71GR which don't even have clips/u-channels and must be glued down, which is what I want.
But I can't find any good brand (Kraus, Ruvati, Kohler, etc) that meets this criteria, and I'm hesitant to buy those cheap offbrands incase they end up being junk after having cut my countertop. Any advice?
Due for a new kitchen sink, coming from a white double bowl. Wife wants a single stainless. Any feedback on what you like/don’t like if you’ve went went single stainless lately?
Store has everything from the basic “rounded” 18ga single, no frills, to expensive, modern, square cornered with built in strainer, cutting board, etc.
Edit: will have to be a drop-in, not under mount.
