Just moved in to a new apartment and looking for a new TV. Only necessities is 55 inch. The only things we use are the streaming apps and then one ps5. Thinking of getting something besides a Roku TV since the one we currently have is always causing issues. So far I’ve found these which seem like pretty good options and brands? Not too sure though. Any advice is appreciated. There was also a Samsung U7900, but I read somewhere that it is not a good tv… not sure if that’s true or applies to me but just what I read. Thank you!
I’m looking to get a tv that is around 50 inches next week over prime day and my budget is $300. What TVs in that budget range would you suggest I check out?
I bet I’m gonna get a “raise your budget” reply or something but hear me out.
I would like a 4k 60fps TV that fits in this criteria:
Less than $300 (unless you greatly justify it)
MUST HAVE a COMPOSITE port (component would be great, but unlikely)
Must have 4k 60fps (duh). It dont matter if it can’t do any more than 60fps.
No ugly LCDs (we ain’t in the 2000s)
No larger than 50 inch
I have a list of TVs im interested in. I’m hesitant to get a TCL TV because my last one crapped out on me after 6 months and their devices have been unreliable/problematic. (I had a TCL ac that crapped out as well as a poor quality phone from them). I had Vizio in the past and present, and they are decent, but their software slow, so I use my Xbox to stream.
I’m leaning toward the 43 inch Hisense. I loved the idea of the RCA because it had component, but I heard that RCA is trash. I would have liked owning a Samsung or Sony, but their TVs dont have composite (the models I was looking at)
Maybe you guys can find a model that fits these criteria, or convince me to get a TCL model.
For picture, I don’t care too much, as long as it is not laggy and it is crisp. I watch TV during the day with natural lighting.
