I’m looking into getting some stands to set my figures up, flying and jumping and such, what are the best ones out there for that? The ones I keep seeing pop up are the Migavans, do those work for Marvel Legends or DC Mcfarlane?

Sorry if this gets posted a bunch, but what' are the best stands for Black Series and Marvel Legends?

i know there are so many search results that turn up this exact question/topic, but i feel like i haven’t seen a proper solid answer to the question in any of the multiple posts from the past 6-8 months that i’ve checked.
in short, i also would love if some posters would just toss up their personal faves & where to get them, or better yet, a list of a few different options that would be good picks.
& to clarify, i’m looking for figure stands w/ same intended use as OP, but even more specifically,
i am looking for figure stands that work great w/ Marvel Legends figures
(also SHF + MAFEX figs, but ML first & foremost, especially since any of the stands i have that work great for ML tend to work just as good for those other two.)
i wish there was something i could bribe people w/ on here to entice them to post. fwiw, i have a massive treasure chest full of my 100% sincere appreciation (add a 10% bonus for 110% total since i totally understand that this is a question asked to death & y’all are probably so fuckin’ sick of it at this point).

Can anyone provide some insight into third party peg stands for action figures? I’m looking to buy in bulk as I have hundreds of figures, so I’d prefer something cost effective. I mostly have 1/12 scale figures (Legends, Black Series, Classified) with a fair amount of slightly larger figures (MOTUC, Ultimates). Thank you all in advance.
Ultimate Action Figure Stand Guide
======================================================
This is a work-in-progress post. Below is information I have gathered from past Reddit posts, and will consolidate here. I hope you can contribute and I'll amend as we master this list!
P.S. I made this post because I can't stand "What's the best stand?" reposts. ;)
======================================================
FIGURE STANDS:
Great for Marvel Legends, ToyBiz, Star Wars Black Series, NECA, Dragon Ball Z, etc. (~4"-12" figures)
OBITSU Assembly Action Figure and Doll Stand - Waist-clip, great for flight poses.
Tamashii Nations Bandai Stage Act 4 for Humanoid - Waist-clip, great for flight poses.
DC Collectibles Deluxe Action Figure Bases - Waist-clip, great for flight poses.
NECA Action Figure Display Stands - Peg, great for standing poses.
DO-IT-YOURSELF (DIY) STAND:
Use a wire clothes hanger, bend to your liking - YouTube it!
MUSEUM PUTTY:
Dislike stands, but also want your figures stable?
Blu-Tack, QuakeHOLD!, Elmer's or any museum putty adhesive - Provides clean appearance without stand (discreet!), resuable and wont damage table/shelf surface.
MAGNETS:
Neodymium magnets - Strong magnets. Measure peg of your figure in millimeters (best if magnet is smaller than your peg hole), and search for one on Ebay. Attach magnet with hot glue gun. Place on any magnetic surface or metal sheet from hardware store. Reusable/removable and wont damage your figure.
MagnaClipz - Waist-clip that you can magnetize against a metal vertical surface or wall.
ACRYLIC DISPLAYS:
Thousands and thousands of options from any online retailer. Risers and enclosures!
RISERS:
Spice rack for home kitchen - Raise and line up your figures like an outdoor sports bleacher.
Jewerly risers - Try searching for "jewerly hexagon riser".
SHELF:
Ikea Detolf - Glass door cabinet. Great for display, but difficult to transport if you decide to move house, or if you have kids/pets.
SHADOW BOX:
Find shadow box frames from arts and crafts stores like Michael's/Joann - Frame and protect your figures from dust and display as art! Make sure your figure can fit depth-wise, or lose the glass.
Hey guys, I recently got some figure stands for both my Marvel Legends and DC Multiverse figures. They’re too small for the DC ones and they’re just ok with the Marvel ones, which ones do you recommend?

Pricey imo but storm collectibles makes some good stands they could hold bigger figures.
Hasbro also sells stands on their hasbro pulse site and there’s an independent creator out there that goes by the handle canofbeams (you can google this) that makes adaptable bases that can work with many lines as long as they have a foot peg.
The latter tho is not going to be that great for dynamic posing tho as it’s just a base.
The ones on Amazon that are cheap can be good too if they have screws that you can tighten.
I have been collecting for a long time. I used a few stands along the way. My favorite that I tried were the Hasbro Pulse and Mezco stands. I found them very useful and strong enough for any of my figures. Other stands I've received from Amazon are awful. I would genuinely appreciate some recommendations because I'm running low on my stash of Pulse stands and they have been sold out for a few months
I too would like to know this answer

Hey everyone. I'm a fairly new toy collector, mainly buying Transformers, Marvel and DC figures. I'm looking for some good articulated stands to support figures up to around 17cm/8 inches - for example I have two Revoltech AY Marvel figures, I'm looking at some Mafex figures and I have lots of deluxe, voyager and leader class Transformers.
I've seen stands by brands such as Migavan, Obitsu and Wode, but the problem is I have no idea if one is better than the other. Any advice?
Never used any of the ones you mentioned. I mostly use Tamashii Stage Act.4 stands for my 6" figures. Mafex come with their own stands (just make sure you tighten the joints with a mini screwdriver). I also use DC collectibles stands for added height and lastly, Storm Collectibles action stands for large and top heavy figures. Also got some of these simple stands made by GSC but haven't tried them out yet.
I recommend the Tamashii stands like Sheep did, but also the Obitsu stands.
Tamashii stands are great for neutral and relatively simple action poses. But the Obitsu stands are especially good for flight, as they usually come in configurations that allow for much taller positionings.
What's the best display/flight stand for 6" figures? I need something for my flying Marvel Legends characters. I looked at Bandai Tamashii Stage Act 4 & 5 and I can't seem to decide on one or the other. What's the difference besides the look? Are there better ones out there than these? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I'd like to add that wire coat hangers that you'd get from the dry cleaners make good stands, if you've got any laying around thats probably a cheaper alternative
Here are two examples of ones that I've done

ACBA sells flight stands in limited quantity batches on our merch site. They're basically a perfected version of the wire hanger stands that some people have mentioned but with sanded tips and more solid construction. Can be tricky to balance but they're easy to hide and ideal for displays.
EDIT: Linked directly to product page
I currently use the mafex stands but they're not very good and don't hold the figure very well
What figures and what poses? Most of the available action stands do fine holding light figures, but if you're trying to put larger heavier figs into the air you may need to get creative.
Here are some options-
I like these, they're basic but inexpensive.

I’m looking for action figure stands for my original Star Wars figure collection. I’ve seen some on Amazon but reviews are all over the place. Looking for recommendations from people who have actually found (and used) stands. Amazon or EBay links preferred.
I usually use 1/8'' peg Protech clear bases from Collecting Warehouse (http://www.collectingwarehouse.com/s.nl/it.A/id.3583/.f), but I was curious if anyone used different ones or none at all and why?
Bandai Tamashii Act 4. These are, in my opinion, the best stands you can get for 1/12 scale figures. I use them for both imports and domestic stuff and they work great. The Act 5 have a bit of a stronger arm (at the cost of being bulkier) that is good for heavier figures.
As I have a lot of different brands of figures I use a lot of different stands.
Marauder I.D.S. Action Figure Stands - marvel legends, black series, MOTU Classics, some older DC Collectibles and Neca
Neca round stands - Neca and McFarlane
DC Collectible stands - DC Collectible figures
Figma stands for various uses
Tamashii stage act 4 and 5 - various figures including Master Piece Transformers with the peg holes.
I've never bought a stand before for any of my figures, but I definitely like my Magneto and my Jean Grey to do some levitating in cool poses.
I see plenty on Amazon but I don't know which ones are crap and which ones are actually pretty good. Or if they really are all pretty standard. Definitely not looking to spend much.
What's a decent price for a decent stand? What are you guys like? And what should I look out for that collectors who have bought these definitely would want to know?
And if you have a brand that you like please link! Someone once recommended one and I could never find it.
Hello,
I have some older X-Men figures that I'd like to put on my shelving unit. I'm looking for some good stands to use with them to keep them upright. I bought one kit from Amazon and the pieces didn't fit and there were a lot of pieces to put together. Any recommendations?
Thanks!
I think my favorite stands are from Mafex.. Not real sure if you can buy them seperately.
Personally I think the neca flight stands are sort of trash. I had 10 of them. I have 1 now.
The DC stands are ok but they don't come with every figure.. And then you have to buy Mcfarlane's stuff to get them.
So if you can find Mafex brand stands that's what I'd recommend.. But others may have better suggestions.
I don't know why someone can't just make a sturdy, WIRED, stand. So you can move it any direction you want, at any point of the wire/stand. I'd pay for that.
Those NECA stands are awful.
I’ve been trying to find good sturdy stands, but the ones I have suck. They can’t really hold up the figure and are pretty flimsy.
Tamashii Nations have a officially figure stand but I was wondering if there are better options.
I'm specifically looking for something for 2005-2010s era DC Direct and Mattel DC Universe. While the current McFarlane stands will work for some of the Mattel figures, not for all, I would prefer clear stands to solid black and have enough spare MTS for when that's what I want/need.
I find those blue (and sometimes green) oval shaped DC Universe stands work best but even on the secondary market, no one is selling them in bulk and people are selling them rarely loose as one or two at a time for absurd prices. I know the dark blue Super Friends also work but would prefer something with a less, let's say, exuberant logo.
I'm also needing stands even when I have the DC Direct logo stands because some of those DC Direct/DC Collectibles are either too big or too bulky for a shelf, taking up too much display space, or they really don't work well (in particular the 52 base for the Animal Man and Super Nova figures are perfect examples here).
I bought and returned some Neca from Target, and I've seen tons of different stands from China on line that claim to work with DC, Marble Legends, someone told me those are Figureslab and I found those on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/stores/FIGURESLAB
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking for about 10-20 stands total.
