I like the feel of the Purple mattresses better too, but you need to try before you buy. Tempur's bases are some of the the best in the industry, especially with the lumbar support. Ergomotion is the manufacturer, and they do a great job. More on reddit.com

October 12, 2024Adjustable bed frames - Is more expensive better in any meaningful way?
I keep looking at them, but then wonder if it wouldn't be irritating to be stuck having only the positions the adjustable frame adjusts to. I'm dithering about whether or not I shouldn't just keep using a foam bed wedge for my head/shoulders and foam feet wedge (forget what it's called) on my box springs so that I can move them around to wherever I want on any given night or nap. I'd like to hear from people who currently use adjustable bed frames about whether or not they get aggravated at only having the various positions that are built into that frame, or if those positions are always what you need? I'm currently in the market for an adjustable base. I can compare "features" and pricing across all of them myself. I've read a lot of posts here, but they always tend to have sooooo many details it's impossible to just have an easy to reference list of good/bad. I'm the type of person that is satisfied with the middle-ground as far as pricing goes. When you go cheap you get what you pay for. When you go "high end" you tend to pay more than necessary for reasons like brand name or features you don't need/want.
What I don't know is which brands are considered reliable and which ones you should stay away from?
