Is the AI ad generator free?
While all users can browse the Inspire ad library for free, access to the AI ad generator is limited for free accounts. If you want to access most of Canva Grow’s AI ad generation features, you’ll need to upgrade to a Pro, Business, or Enterprise Account. Only Business and Enterprise users can access ad insights, with limits on the number of creatives that can be analyzed.

Can I use the AI Ad generator for free?
I have been testing some of the popular tools for creating Instagram ads using AI with their free plan. Here are my brief observations:
Predis.ai: Best Instagram ad generator with templates for UGC, carousel, video, and single image ads. App integration is good, a complete social media tool. Has a forever-free plan.
Tagshop AI: Focused on UGC videos. Very limited free plan with decent generations
Simplified: Focusing on too many things, the generated ads do not look good. Has a very limited free trial.
ChatGPT 5.0: Easy to create generations with text prompts but no editing options at all.
AdCreative.ai: Big name but very basic product ad generation. Be careful with their free trial; they charge you without any heads up or your confirmation.
Let me know your thoughts and if I missed any good tools available in the market.
Hey folks,
I run a mobile phone shop, and lately I’ve been experimenting with AI tools to make ad creatives for my products, offers, and promotions. I wanted something that works well for both Instagram and Facebook.
I’ve only been testing free plans so far (because small budget 😅), and here’s my honest experience:
Lumen5 – Fun for repurposing text content into videos, but customization is limited without a paid plan.
Pencil AI – Cool idea because it predicts ad performance, but the interface feels a bit clunky.
Predis.ai – This one was good. Has ready-to-use templates for UGC, carousel, and single-image ads, plus you can plan and schedule posts right inside the platform. The forever-free plan is actually usable, which is rare. So far it’s the only one that feels like a proper all-in-one tool for small business social media.
Canva Magic Studio – Easy to use and perfect for beginners. Some AI features are locked behind the paid plan, and the free templates can feel overused.
Veed.io – Fast and simple for video ads with captions, but the watermark on the free plan is a dealbreaker unless you upgrade.
InVideo AI – Turns product details or scripts into videos quickly. Templates are nice, but the free plan exports in lower quality.
Lumen5 – Fun for repurposing text content into videos, but customization is limited without a paid plan.
