I’m making a movie trailer with AI tools and one part I’m having trouble with is making the dialogue sound realistic. ElevenLabs voices are pretty good, but they all definitely sound “AI” in their delivery.
Ideally what I’d like to do is record the lines myself (with certain tonalities and inflections on certain words), then change my voice into another voice. I know Runway has Act One which can map an AI voice but I don’t feel like it picks up little inflections very well.
Any other tools out there for this?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a voice changer? I'm doing a bit and want to sound like a really deep voice guy so I guess a gender switch one.

I'm a beginner at Suno but I found it to be a fascinating tooI. I'm planning to import my Suno songs into my Cubase DAW. Then use Spectral layer pro to extract stems and then convert stems to midi, then change instruments and remix. Unfortunately I have damaged my voice so I can't sing. I need to use a AI voice changer as the vocals from Suno sound terrible. But I don' find what I'm looking for when I google. Any suggestions? (It must be compatible with mac and Cubase) Thanks!
The most important thing about this overview is that you are never caught or questioned about how you sound in-game, in essence, 99.9% passing. I will go more into depth to make sure you NEVER get caught or question is a bigger guide, for now I'm only introducing this technology.
Before we start, let's go with Requirements, if you don't meet these, unfortunately, don't bother:
1.- Gaming PC with a 1070 or higher. 2.- Studio/streaming level microphone.
There's currently only 2 available voice changers and another 1 in closed alpha
1.- Voice.ai (Free) https://voice.ai/r/GsWMc (yes it is my link but it gives me points for more voices, not money or anything like that)
2.- NyVox ($10 a month): https://www.patreon.com/NyVox/
3.- Metavoice (close alpha): https://themetavoice.xyz/
Starting with Voice.ai, currently the most powerful one, it has a higher latency than NyVox and a variable latency (depending on your setup and load) but it is for a good reason, it prioritizes quality because when PC resources are maxes in NyVox the voice sounds like TTS and guess what happens next, you get caught. NyVox by itself is not that recommended by me anyway but that will be something to elaborate further down.
Here is an example of the power of Voice.ai in this regards: https://streamable.com/2ujhdg (all those voices are made By Selystria, she is a mod in the voice.ai discord)
Nevertheless, many of us are still not satisfied with the output, of the problems: It's too clear and too clean, doesn't sound like somebody speaking into a mic, some of the folk in that discord have come up with a solution which is called a "bad mic filter", you can check instruction to use said filter in setup and troubleshooting channel of that discord. Another way was to simply go to the VB cable settings and set the setting down towards (telephone quality) however that is no longer possible with their new audio driver.
Next is NyVox, I credit it as being the first actual Voice AI changer that is accesible to anybody, however it's model is now outdated and has really poor pitch tracking, one of the things it does best in my opinion was spanish (for some reason that the developelor could himself figure out).
So far it was only partially passable, too many players called me out while using it. Never use VRChat as a benchmark, people there are too nice and will not go out of their way to "call out" anybody for anything, I've used far harsher environment with the most toxic communities I could get my hands on: Tactical shooters.
Example of NyVox (spanish and english): https://vocaroo.com/1gbxMaFR6ELz
Finally, there's metavoice, as an alphatester, all I can say is it's too weak to even recommend trying it, their next model seems promising, but until then they only get an honorable mention. They also prioritize latency which causes some issues that will require a whole new post to explain why that is.
In summary:
Voice.ai: 95%+ passing, reaching closer to 99% passing with bad mic filter enabled.
NyVox: 70%-80% passing with the right voice
Metavoice current model: 30% passing and down to 10% if you are playing a game (because it prioritizes latency just like NyVox it will degare into TTS-level speech or worse)
How to maintain each software running at near 100% performance is a post for another time (will require a secondary gaming PC), but for those enthusiastic enough about this technology, it won't be an obstacle.
Is there some kind of ai voice changer where I can submit a voice recording, and then change the voice of that recording to whatever voice I want.
I’d prefer to do something like this rather typing a script out for a voice clone, because when typing a script, you can’t really make the clone speak in a certain tone or anything like that.
Does something like this exist?
Goodmorning to everyone. I've been always facinated by this topic and by the possibility to make videos without my personal voice for essentially free.
What do you think is the best AI for generate human like voices? I know many people use ElevenLabs but I want to know if there are better choices :)
I have a very unprofessional voice and in order for me to start making videos I have to speak and I'm afraid people are not going to like my voice is there any good AI that have deep voices that sounds human that I can use for my videos or a voice changer that I can lower my voice and the tone so I can sound like a narrator.?
I’m mostly doing commentary + tutorial stuff, so I don’t need it to sound like Morgan Freeman
EDIT: I chose this voice generator and it does everything I need it to.
Been eyeing Murf AI and Elevenlabs and both seem solid from what I’ve seen, but I’m not fully convinced yet. Murf has some cool features like voice cloning and PlayHT’s voices actually sound kinda scary-good sometimes.
I’m not expecting miracles but I at least want it to sound vaguely human and not like it's reading my script against its will
Anyone here tried either of these?
Or got any others that don’t completely suck?
Hello everyone!
Are there any affordable AI voice over services/software that are recommend? I looked into ElevenLabs but the monthly limits are too restrictive. Especially because I want to experiment.
I'd like it to sound natural, if possible. Some AI voice over software that I can run locally on my PC would be great too.
I'm aware that AI voice overs aren't really appreciated by audience (and creators), but my voice isn't suitable for videos.
Curious to hear which software you'all are using.
Like the title says. I'm looking for AI software that would allow me to change my voice in real time. Does anything like this exist? The ones that I have found so far (voice(dot)ai, w-okada on github) either don't work, or sound terrible. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
Looking into doing a new channel that is purely anonymous so I want to find a free voice changer that I can use so my voice doesn't give me away. I don't want the voice to be anything too AI sounding or famous people. Just something that I could use for masculine and feminine voices.
Yo Reddit creators!
Just spent the last month burning through every damn AI voice service out there, and I'm here to drop some REAL talk. 🔥
Quick & Dirty Service Breakdown:
ElevenLabs: Killer voices that'll make your content sound pro, but holy sh*t, their pricing is like a punch to the wallet. Great for big YouTubers with cash to burn.
Murf AI: Middle-of-the-road performer. Feels like ordering a vanilla latte when you're craving an espresso shot. Decent for corporate training videos, but lacks that spicy edge for creative content.
PlayHT: Multilingual but inconsistent. Some languages sound smooth, others sound like a robot having an existential crisis. Cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Octopra: Dark horse of the group. Surprisingly solid quality-to-price ratio. Feels like finding a hidden gem that other creators haven't discovered yet. Great for indie creators watching their budget.
Now fellow Redditors! What’s the best AI voice service you've tried, and in which scenario did it totally blow your mind? 🐱📖

Hey guys. I'm new here and I'm looking for programs to modify my voice in real time. My experiences have been frustrating with these programs and I am open to recommendations. Here are some that I tested. Whether paid or free doesn't matter.
Voice Ai: I can't test because it uses 90% of my CPU and the entire PC crashes;
MorphVox: The robotic voice that remains bothers me;
iMy Phone Magic Mic: It was the best I tested, but there was a delay in the voice;
VoiceMod: I didn't like the voices that I test every day and there are flaws. Furthermore, people say that I am very expressive in my speeches and these voices make me very generic;
Okada: I couldn't get it to work;
Hitpaw: It is very similar to the Magic Mic;
Still testing other modifiers...
My main purpose is just to use it with my friends or something. Streams, videos or anything else is the 2nd option.
I know this is not an ai audio sub, but this is one of the biggest communities on reddit, so I'm asking it here. Sorry for the silly question in advance... :)
I want to change a voice *slightly*, just making it a bit deeper, a bit more masculine, a bit more "wider" and stronger. I don't want to go 100% Morgan Freeman, just, like 20-30%, so to speak, while the original voice is still there and somewhat recognizable.
Are there any online audio services (or local, o.s. models) that have an "amount" slider, so that I can't control the power of the voice change or transform? And not just completely replace the voice.
Thank you!
Hey everyone! I’ve been experimenting with AI voice generators for my personal projects (YouTube scripts, short films, and audiobook samples).
I tested three tools (Speechelo, Play.ht, and ElevenLabs), and honestly, ElevenLabs blew me away — the voices are incredibly human-like, and it lets you customize or even clone voices.
I used it to create narration for a short story and people thought it was a real voice actor 😅
They offer a free plan, so if you’re curious, try it out here:https://try.elevenlabs.io/ai-voice-generator-jeff
If you want tips on how I used it or sample settings, let me know!
Hey all,
I'm trying to mod a game to have my voice, or something closer to my voice, in it. Do you know of any good [cheap or free] ai voice changers that can handle batch processing multiple files?
Thanks!
