What are the best all-season flowering plants for indoor gardening?
Can all-season flowering plants be used for landscaping?
Are all-season flowering plants suitable for container gardening?
I planted a bunch of stuff last year and the freezes this winter took them out. Refreshing the yard probably after this weekend. What are some good front and back yard plants for Tulsa?
I have a front yard native garden in zone 6B (SE Michigan) and I am looking for native plants that don’t end up looking really terrible at some point in the season. Examples of “looking really terrible” include the black eyed susans in the photo whose leaves are turning black, as well as things that get powdery mildew really badly.
Some plants I currently have that look ok all season include nodding wild onion, purple love grass, prairie dropseed, harebell, butterfly weed, and whorled milkweed.
It’s a full sun location, with dry sandy clay. Since it’s in the front yard, I want to keep plants to 3 feet tall max.
Thanks!
My first full year at the new garden and I thought I'd planned for success by starting seeds off in March for some flowers but it's now June and there's still no flowers on the Marigold, Nasturtium, Poached Egg, Allysum, Viola, Geraniums etc. Some of them are still absolutely tiny.
I also planted some bulbs last autumn and I had one tulip come up in April and nothing else. the only things that have looked nice this year are the cherry and apple blossoms but they're gone now and the garden looks really barren again. At least the Borage looks like its about to flower
what are your tips for an attractive display from say March to October?
