What are people saying about buffets in Chicago, IL?
This is a review for buffets in Chicago, IL:
"This is probably one of the best buffet around town. It's a bit pricey but it's worth if you are a fan of seafood and lots of other goodies at their hot bar! The services are friendly and attentive. Will fill up your drinks if it's getting low. That's a plus! Read some reviews regarding about the price. Comparing to decade ago, there's something call inflation?! Lol tbh, if you go eat elsewhere, $35-60 a drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert. Will probably cost more than the price of Royal Buffet. Love reading the negatives! Just crack me up! Blame the economic why the prices of everything going up! I ate 5 plates and got filled up with goodies. But overall, I enjoyed and will go back again! Yummylicous!"

Best buffet in Chicago?
This is my list from a while ago, but updated with a few new entries: Okini Buffet in Brickyard - just opened, clean, decent selection, I go here often now. Toro Asian Buffet - very limited selection but you can find Snow crabs sometimes. I go here if I want some snow crabs. Everything else is limited as far as the selection. Nuevo China Buffet in Northlake - Sushi is great, and also has a mongolian grill section. Fried blue crabs on the buffet for dinner, as well as crawfish. Super busy on Sundays. Super China Buffet in Norridge - good sushi bar, big selection, also mongolian grill station. No crabs, but mussels and baby clams available. Fried shrimp are also there, but small shrimp. Very busy at all times. Super China Buffet in the Brickyard - same owner as the above, less selection, I think it's $1 cheaper. Yummy Buffet on Lawrence - horrible, avoid, they significantly reduced the selection post-Covid, and there's really not much left. Hong Kong Buffet on McCormick - also really bad, it doesn't get much foot traffic on the weekends, so the food is stale. Also, place is extraordinary dirty inside. Most buffet places aren't too clean, but this one is really dirty. New China Buffet in Melrose Park - this one is decent, but if I am out here in this suburb, I go to Nuevo China Buffet. Hibachi Grill Asian Buffet in Elk Grove - this one is decent. Selection is smaller, but sushi counter and mongolian grill is decent. Prime rib and fried shrimp for dinner. Selection is definitely on the smaller side. Drinks are not included in the buffet price. China Buffet Mongolian BBQ in Arlington Heights - avoid, very limited selection and they don't get much foot traffic. Shiki Buffet in Cicero - Decent, smaller selection, but fresh. They have 2 locations now. Asia Buffet & Grill on Cicero, super super super busy, and just average compared to the others, not really worth heading out to. Royal Buffet in Hoffman Estates, apparently this is the only premium seafood buffet now, around $30-40 bucks per person for dinner, I have not been. More on reddit.com

There are two excellent Polish buffets that I know of: Sawa's in Broadview and Red Apple Buffet near Edison Park. Red Apple Buffet has better food IMHO, but it's more expensive and only open on weekends.
