As above, can someone recommend the best one available today purely for gaming? I wanted a Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless but am left confused due to the mostly negative posts about it here on Reddit but positive reviews about it on YT. I wanted a Logitech headset to match all my other peripherals that will be from them too but the price and Reddit posts are putting me off.

Ideally want a slightly cheaper (but good quality) one around £150. I know the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is pretty good as well as the Audeze Maxwell but those are much more expensive.

After some research, the three less pricey ones I get are the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) and V2 Hyperspeed as well as the HyperX Cloud Alpha. Anyone here use these?

Are Logitech's Astro series any good? Or any other Logi headset that's better than the G Pro X 2?

I'm looking to make a significant upgrade over my thoroughly mediocre Razer Barracuda X wireless gaming headset — specifically with regards to audio fidelity.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but what I'm hoping to find is one unit that combines the sound quality of studio-grade headphones that would be satisfactory for the likes of an audiophile and/or adequate for professional video/audio production work, with the practical features and functionality of a gaming headset — or at the very least just the addition of a microphone — so that I can use them in that capacity as well.

I have not had much luck searching for guidance online. There doesn't seem to be any real consensus or a clear "go-to" product offering even for people who are prepared to just throw money at the issue.

Wireless is a must for me for the ability to get up from my desk and walk around without losing my audio feed throughout my work day or during long conference calls and webinars. I'd prefer 2.4ghz wireless as opposed to Bluetooth for the low latency while gaming, although it would be nice to have the option of Bluetooth as well just for wide compatibility with devices other than my PC. A generous battery life would also be a big plus (so I'm not losing power in the middle of a call or a match just because I haven't charged them in the past 12 hours), as would an on-unit mic mute button for the and/or a flip-to-mute microphone arm. All-day comfort is a also must, so a relatively light-weight, good ergonomics and high quality padding / ear cups are all big value adds for my needs.

I've taken at the Hyper X Cloud Alpha Wireless headset that's currently on sale at $150 for Amazon Prime Day, which seems to be loved by gamers everywhere, but while they would surely offer much better audio quality than my current headset, reviews on their sound quality are mixed, and I hate that it is only offered with one color option with its garish anodized bright red accents — not a good look on work-related video calls, and also don't match the rest of my setup. I'd much prefer something that looks and feels vaguely professional in straight black.

I also found the JBL Quantum 910 Wireless headset which is currently on sale at the same price point of $150, but doesn't look like they have fantastic build quality, and I'm again finding mixed reviews on their audio quality. Their integrated microphone also seems to be of very poor quality.

I've also looked into several Sennheiser headsets marketed to the gamer niche because I've been a fan of theirs after having been thoroughly satisfied with several other pairs of their headsets/headphones I've owned in the past, although a lot of the customer reviews seem to indicate that they're not even true Sennheiser products and that they've just licensed their brand name to another company to slap it on a family of middling-quality units in order to sell them at a premium price.

I figure that if I'm going to be spending at least $150 even for a decent headset with several apparent trade-offs in quality and feature set, I may as well adopt a "buy once, cry once" mentality on this purchase and go ahead and look into the even higher price range offerings to see if I can find something that will truly impress.

So what are some of y'alls picks for the absolute best wireless gaming headsets out there, that would make an audiophile blush, at any price range?
