It has come to my attention that this app can sell driving data to insurance companies. it is however a feature you have to opt in to altho I bet at any time they can change that. As far as the weather part of the APP which is all I thought I was getting when I installed it.... well it is a great and easy to use weather App. ... When all of the radar in the weather apps are stuck not updating, MyRadar is still working.

I'm looking for a good, reliable weather app that goes a little more into detail than the basic info (like where's the rain), maybe throw in some velocities on the map too. I've heard RadarScope was good but I don't want to pay $100 for a weather app. Any help is appreciated.

For velocity and storm detail, RadarScope with the $9.99 annual Pro Tier 1 subscription is what I use. Split screen view with reflectivity on one and velocity on the other makes it very easy to identify storms and rotation. However using velocity means learning how to interpret radar using a single radar site. Most radar apps combine multiple radars into one virtual global image, but that is also why they are imprecise blobs. Once you take the time to learn what’s going on with raw data, you’ll love RadarScope.
