"the Department of Variance of Somewhere, Ohio" (56 @ 4.6/5) and "the Dead Letter Office of Somewhere, Ohio" (47 @ 4.9/5) are both quite interesting in my opinion and also underappreciated. My understanding is that you're supposed to listen to Dead Letter Office first and then Department of Variance, but at least for me I understood more listening in the opposite order. The super quick summary for Department of Variance is "first day of work at a SCP-esque group". And the super quick summary of Dead Letter Office is spooky letters that couldn't be delivered, with a few touching stories included. Department of Variance is very serialized, while Dead Letter Office is mostly serialized but less strict. I know these aren't super unknown, but Department of Variance didn't make the cut in any of the yearly popularity polls & Dead Letter Office tied for 26th on the 2022 poll.
