I'd recommend looking up second hand Razer mice or Logitech mice. People tend to get rid of them for about half price. For new? G502 Hero is a classic for a reason. I've personally got a Razer Deathadder which I'm happy with. There's really zero reason to use bluetooth for connectivity on your peripherals, they have dongles for a reason. Uses less power, less latency, plug and forget. For new, if you want a nice budget mechanical keyboard the AULA F75 is popular, so maybe the AULA F99 instead? (I use a numpad a lot too): https://epomaker.com/products/epomaker-x-aula-f99-pro I personally have gotten a few logitech keyboards second hand, but I'm a bit biased towards them. Not hard to pick up last generation's mechanical gaming keyboard someone is selling at half price. Answer from ICastCats on reddit.com

r/buildapc on Reddit: 'Entry level / budget' wireless gaming keyboard and mouse reccommendations

Hello!

I am wanting to upgrade from my 10+ year old Logitech office wireless keyboard and mouse that cost less than £15. Watching tech reviewers, I am not an 'aficionado' when it comes to keyboards - by which I mean I see reviewers talk about buying keyboards in the hundreds because of the types of switches or its customability and other bells and whistles I don't care about. I'd ideally like to buy both within a budget of £50 - £150 unless I get enough response that this is unreasonable. Below is really all I care about or the keyboard:

  • Low latency for gaming (but I don't play professionally or competitively so it doesn't need to be high end)

  • Bluetooth wireless (I don't want to use a USB dongle or wired - I understand it would be higher latency than a dongle but I'm hoping only to the extent it would matter if I was playing competitively)

  • Numeric (I like having the numberpad and I use it constantly)

  • Mechanical and RGB would be nice but not a need

For mouse, pretty much just that it's low-latency for gaming and is also Bluetooth.

My main motivation to making this is that I know if I just search gaming Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, my main navigation is not wanting to go too cheap that I end up buying something that is just generic tat that will not last, but not wanting to overspend for those 'shiny keyboard features' I don't actually care for. I guess essentially reputable but budget keyboards.

Thanks!

I'm building my very first PC soon and I want a good keyboard that's I can play any game on. I don't need the best of the best like the Wooting 60he or something. Just something that I can become a really good player on if I put the time in.

It's really easy to find mouse recommendations when you have channels like (boardzy) on youtube. But for keyboards, it doesn't seem to be as easy. I'm always seeing different recommendations so I never know what is actually the best bang for my buck.

I perfer to spend around $50. I can go higher if it's really worth it.

I have never owned a computer or really even a laptop so I have 0 experience using keyboards. So I don't have any specific needs. I just want a good keyboard that will get the job done. Once I actually learn how to play games on keyboard & mouse, I will then upgrade to a high end gaming keyboard.

I have a great setup, a PC with a 4070 Ti and an AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, an amazing mouse, the Logitech G Pro Wireless. However, I am lacking in the keyboard department. I am using the Logitech K270 keyboard, which is more of a “budget office” keyboard than a gaming (it does do pretty good at gaming though). However it makes the setup look dull and it doesn’t feel right, any good wireless gaming keyboards that don’t cost that much, for some reason they all cost from like $150-250. (FIY I’m not going to go for a wired keyboard because it would ruin the “cleanliness” of my desk, but if no options remain I’m planning to get the Steelseries Apex 3, lmk if that‘s a good choice).

Hey, I'm looking for a high quality keyboard around the £50 mark. It doesn't need to have flashy rgb or a numpad or anything. My preference is that it has low latency, a long battery life, and is the UK layout (I use that backwards slash button next to shift lol)

I have a gaming laptop but I'm slowly realising that looking down at a screen playing games isn't very good for your neck/posture.

I've been looking around on hotukdeals and I'm finding a couple but they all have RGB etc. and so I'm a bit worried about battery life. Genuinely hate charging things, my gpw lasts months without a charge after turning all the flashy lights off and I'm hoping I can find something similar in the keyboard market.

If you know if any current or future products that seem good then please let me know. I can wait a few months so if something is on the horizon or you forsee a sale then I'd really appreciate it too.

Thank you.

r/buildapc on Reddit: Wireless Gaming Keyboard Suggestions?

So I work from home but I'm also a gamer.... I need a keyboard (big fan of clicky cherry mx switches) that can operate both wired a nd wireless. The idea is that I will use the wireless feature for my work pc and the wired will be for my gaming setup. I already have a Razer Naga Pro and it works great for this purpose. Currently I'm using a Corsair K95 which is an amazing keyboard aand no real complaints other than it can't accomplish what I need for work. As a workaround I was thinking of buying just a simple USB switch which will permit me to swap between where my keyboard and mouse feed to. However I have major concerns about added latency with that type of a setup.

Any suggestions appreciated and money isn't a big issue here but would prefer not to go beyond the $300 mark (obviously would prefer to be below this but I understand my needs aren't a super inexpensive one).

May 22, 2025 -

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a **compact wireless keyboard (around 80% layout)** that works well for **Windows**, runs on **batteries or rechargeable**, and costs **under $40 if possible**.

✅ Must-have:

- Quiet typing (no loud clicky switches)

- Clean, non-gamer design

- 75% or 80% layout (no numpad, but with arrows & F-keys)

- Wireless (Bluetooth or 2.4GHz)

- Good for travel / remote work

❌ Please no:

- Big RGB gamer boards

- 100% full-size keyboards

Any suggestions from AliExpress, Amazon, or anything else? Appreciate your help 🙏

Hi looking for a gaming 75% wireless keyboard. That’s in a cleaner aesthetic.

I had heard the rainy75 or keychron v1/q1/he could be a good starting recommendations.

For the rainy75 is the standard or pro recommended? And they don’t seem to specify the polling rate but I had read on a comment that it was 500 hz. Is the rain75 good for gaming or is there better choices? I’m just looking for good performance it doesn’t need to be the best.

I’m a console player that will be building my first pc soon. I used up most of my budget on the pc components. Looking for recommendations on a wireless mouse/keyboard combo for around $100 total primarily used for gaming.

Planning on playing a variety of games like 7 days to die and Tarkov starting out. I don’t really care about aesthetics, just something that is decent quality for the money. Bonus if i can buy it at Best Buy since I have a gift card.

I am looking for a wireless keyboard (preferrably 75% or 60%) that is not RGB (hopefully that costs less than RGB models as well as saves batery in the long run).

Know that I am currently still a membrane keyboard user, and I am thinking of transitioning to mechanical keyboards. I believe that quieter switches would suit me best.

Budget is flexible however no ridiculously priced keyboards for a novice like myself. All other criteria besides the one listed above.

I am looking to reading your recommendations.

This is my first time buying one, so I am a little confused about which brands I need to consider. The maximum I am willing to spend is $100.The lower the better - but quality matters too of course. I'd love it if the keyboard has RGB lighting and will not die on me within a couple of years. Ergonomics is important too. Any suggestions on a really good budget gaming keyboard, which is also ergonomic and will last me a long time? And should I prioritize mechanical switches right away, or is it okay to start with something cheaper and upgrade later?

Edit: Thanks for all the reccomendations. I decided to go for this wireless one by steelseries. Mainly because of the 60% size. It is working great so far - will update after a few months on long term performance

I am looking for an ultra-compact or tenkeyless wireless keyboard at a price that is not too high (20€-40€) but that does not look like a simple piece of gray plastic. Can you help me?
