So I'm looking at getting a camera and a lens for about ~$1500. If I buy a TV for $800 in the same transaction will that bump me up to 24 months?
Also does it have to be a tv at that value or can it be a bunch of random stuff from home theater that adds up to that value?
If you spend $800 in home theater, and the camera is on the same receipt, you get the 24 month offer
I wish we offered better terms for cameras. It should be a constant 18-month offer like appliances at the least (realistically, for someone looking at full-frame gear, there should be a 24-month offer going too).
But yeah, if you spend $799 and up in home theater product (a single item, or multiple smaller items) and then get the camera on the same transaction, it'll all go under a 24-month plan.
Edit: I understand the difference between deferred interest and 0% interest.
Purchased a new Nikon Z8 at Best Buy on sale over the weekend, selected the 12mo 0% BB financing and the nice sales associate told me that if I called customer service after it cleared and asked for 24mo, I could get it extended. Called this morning and had no issues quickly getting it. Just wanted to point this out for anyone who might be thinking about a big purchase, or who has made one recently.
Looking to upgrade my camera and was wondering if folks have ever been offered 36 month financing? I’ve seen it in select items and heard from colleagues that they’ve gotten it before. Does anybody have any info on the 36 month financing and when it might happen? Or does it only happen to select items?
I've personally never seen it happen, but if it did I'd imagine it would be on something like home theater or appliances. Your best bet is to buy now, depending on price you get 24 month financing.
I received 36 month financing back in April of 2023. However, I had to ask for that financing term at the store. The store manager called Citi and had them apply the special financing term to my entire purchase. I purchased over $10k in items so they were willing to do it based on the amount.
