I just canceled mine, and decided to put it here for those who may need it.
Best buy home page -> go to menu-> click support and services-> then click manage an appointment-> then input the confirmation number that was generated when you scheduled the appointment-> then click on cancel appointment.

Was supposed to have someone come out and remove a Google nest thermostat yesterday, so we could take it in to the store to get it checked out as it’s not connecting to the internet. We waited all day for geek squad to show up, didn’t want to leave in case as soon as we get in the car to go somewhere they show up.. and they never came. No call or anything.
I contacted the customer service number like 3-4x over the course of the day and they kept saying they got in contact with the driver and they were being held up at a previous appointment which just didn’t add up. Last rep I spoke with 4 hours after the 11-3pm window told me the driver never updated the system to add a delay reason. Apparently it was a third party contractor, Manada technology or something like that.
Ended up getting rescheduled for the 2nd of January with another 12 hour window 🤦🏽♂️ . Supposedly this is an actual geek squad employee not a contractor this time.. never had anything like this happen before.

Yeah manada is the worst. Ever. They never show up for appointments and they are also contracted with other companies so they'll take whatever pays more for them. Actual geek squad appointments are way better, if you run into an installation again see if you can request geek squad first over them, geek squad actually shows up.

They don't fix thermostats. If you have a plan on it it gets replaced. Otherwise you can buy another one. If you have a plan and they have the model that you already have the easiest way is to pull it off the base (just pull) and then take that into the store, exchange it but have them keep the new baseplate (the part that actually connects the wires). Then you just stick your new thermostat into the existing baseplate. Again, only if you have the exact same model still available for sale. Or you can just block me and not accept any help. Good luck making the process a million times harder and more expensive on yourself. Literally all you have to do to pull the thermostat off is to pull on it as shown on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fj3hgs681N0

I tried to cancel my geek squad subscription using the phone numbers given online. But I am told you can't find my membership. Bet Buy charged my credit card $191.42 on 05-04-2025.

If you are looking at cancelling your My Best Buy Total membership, you can give us a call at 1 (888) BEST-BUY or 1 (888) 237-8289, and they can help cancel your membership. Please know that any Best Buy Protection plans that you have would also be cancelled, as those require an active My Best Buy membership to stay active.

After 10 minutes unless it’s a restore they are gone. You can barely do it in 20 as it is.

before I went sleeper, we worked off of a 5-10 grace period at our descretion. We did Apple and Samsung appts (pilot store), not really a whole lot of leeway for taking late appointments. If we were slow we weren't sticklers for it, though.
