Anyone have any advice on contacting Best Buy. I traded in my old phone and got a new phone. I had a protection plan on my old phone and asked that I have one on my new phone the guy said that he’d cancel the old one and put on for my new phone. He didn’t and I’ve been paying for a protection plan for a traded in phone. Best Buy now says that the best they can do is refund me the 5 months but they can’t give me a protection plan on my new phone because it’s past the initial 14 days of me buying it. This is their employee’s mistake and the reason I didn’t know was because they were charging my account each month for an invalid service. I’ve been on hold and hung up on multiple times and when I actually go to the store they say only corporate can help.i am at a loss of what to do

Every time I try to contact corporate offices to resolve an issue (that I was directed to corporate to resolve by employees of a store) I just get thrown into the regular customer service system. Part of my issue has been the sheer incompetence of their customer service reps and outright lies they’ve told me to resolve an issue. What’s the real number?

r/Bestbuy on Reddit: How do I contact Best Buy Corporate?
May 24, 2021 -

I bought a laptop from Best Buy and I’ve been having a lot of issues. Apparently, the courier lost the package and I’ve been trying to get a replacement or refund. I’ve talked back and forth with Best Buy employees on the phone and I couldn’t get help so I went to the Best Buy in my city and talked with the manager with some help. He said the best thing to do is to contact Best Buy Corporate by email or phone and talk to them about my issue. I’ve been looking all over and I can’t find the email for Corporate. I found 2 phone numbers that contact Corporate but I couldn’t contact them because I didn’t call within the business hours. The next thing I want to do is email them but I can’t find an email for Best Buy Corporate. Does anyone know the email for Best Buy Corporate?

I won’t go in to details, but if you run in to issues and reach out to corporate via email, they respond within an hour. Lol. I feel bad for the reps who aren’t given the tools they need to help, and it really feels like the supervisors treat them like trash bags. They won’t hop on to help until you ask/then demand to speak to one 10 times. They’re useless though so don’t bother. Email the CEO, COO, and the Customer Service heads. You can find their emails if you google Elliot. O r g and Best Buy.

February 13, 2018 -

So on Sunday night I had to decide between B&H and Best Buy when buying a new TV. I chose Best Buy, and had the delivery scheduled for Tuesday.

Tuesday comes around, and all the deals for this TV are now done. Two hours after the delivery window opens I am home from work early to get my first new TV in over 6 years. I get a call from Best Buy at this time, and I'm told that not only will my new TV not be arriving in this next few minutes, but I'll need to wait an additional 15 days to receive it.

So I ask about compensation, since I would have never used them if I had known this, and they refuse to discuss this with me until after the TV is delivered. That evening I called them back to get more details, because apparently they weren't even able to schedule my delivery for the 12th.

TWO HOURS on hold and three departments later I am told I will need to call back tomorrow, because the delivery is still pending, and they are unable to do anything about it.

So today I called in again right after I got off work at 4:30PM PST. FOUR AND A HALF HOURS later I have been transferred literally 5-6 times, lied to numerous times, and hung up on (by the system) once after a 50 minute wait. At this point, I finally get someone who is going to transfer me directly to the home theater department - to a real human being (no wait, sounds great! I mean, I've already talked to them twice, but sure let's try again!)

She tells me because it is now 9:00 PM at night, customer service is now closed. Thanks for calling, and please try back again tomorrow.

I've never in my entire life dealt with such abysmal customer service. Never in my life have I ordered an item, paid next to a THOUSAND dollars for it, and then dealt with six and a half hours of hold music, false promises, transfers, and lies. I wasn't rude to ANY of them, too... that's the amazing part. I know it's not their fault - these poor people have to deal with these problems all the time, and I hate that people treat them poorly... but it didn't matter in this case.

Do not buy things from Best Buy... that is what I learned today. Shoot for any other store that's willing to treat you like a human being.

***Update: So from the response here I decided to take everyone's advice and do something about this situation, rather than just vent and share my bad experience.

I won't cancel the TV because all the Black Friday deals are now over (which is the entire reason I'm complaining in the first place, rather than just cancelling and re-ordering elsewhere). What I will do is cancel the $571 i9 9900k processor I bought from Best Buy two weeks ago that's slated to arrive tomorrow. The MSRP on that processor is $500, so that likely represents a larger profit for the company than the TV anyway (especially with the deal on the TV).

I'll need to wait until Sunday to receive the replacement processor I ordered from Amazon an hour ago, which is a bummer, but you're all right... complaining isn't going to matter. I spent six and a half hours on the phone, and Best Buy only had to pay people to talk to me for about 10 minutes. Calling is pointless, complaining is pointless, but this isn't as it actually made me feel better, regardless of how little the impact is (of course) to Best Buy.

Cheers, guys.

Does anyone know how to contact someone at Best Buy that can actually help with customer service? I started a new job and my boss attempted to send me a MacBook from Best Buy. I have never heard of Roadie before, so I'm wondering if it's usually their policy to make deliveries to residential addresses at 1:00 AM? I definitely didn't think that's who was ringing my doorbell when it startled me awake the other night. Since I didn't answer the door, the computer was considered "automatically returned" to Best Buy and its become a whole ordeal. I spent an hour on the phone with customer service and they told me my only option was to wait 10 days for a refund to be processed, then ask my boss to purchase me another computer, then call customer service again and they'd honor the sales price by refunding the difference. I offered to just go pick it up from the local store it was returned to, but they said that wasn't possible because it was already "in the system" as a return. This has been very frustrating and embarrassing, not to mention that I still don't have a work computer.

I also think islts unsafe for both customers and drivers to be making deliveries in the middle of the night, especially with valuable items at a time of year where thieves are paying close attention.

I reached out to Best Buy and to Roadie, but have not heard back. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

r/Bestbuy on Reddit: Zero way to contact store by phone

I purchased an open box monitor listed in excellent condition, specifically listing that it had all the original cables with it.

I go to the store to pick it up Sat afternoon, and it’s just the monitor, no power cable or AC adapter. I looked up the power cable, it costs $30 on eBay, so I told the store manager if they knock $30 off the price I would still buy the monitor.

Manager agreed, but says the refund will take 30min to 1 hour because he cannot issue a refund to an online order for pickup immediately at pickup. I got his name and left, figuring I could call the store and talk to them if the refund didn’t show. The manager said he would email me the receipt too and took my mobile.

Well, it’s Monday afternoon, no refund. I call the store and get transferred to a call center in India. I explain the situation and they tell me they have no notes in the system about a refund, so I need to physically go to the store.

I ask them to transfer me to the store, as I see no reason to waste my fuel and time to go to the store for an issue easily resolved by phone.

Lo and behold, not only will they not transfer me to the store, they or none of their supervisors will call the store to sort the issue out. My only option is to physically go to the store. I told them if I have to go to the store, I am not only returning my monitor, but $600 worth of other stuff I recently bought, and am likely to never shop there again. Still no resolution.

So I guess I’m going back to BestBuy for hopefully the last time in my life and returning ~$800 worth of purchases because apparently it’s Best Buy policy to not be able to communicate with store employees.

Sorry, just had to rant in case some jackass in Best Buy corporate read this sub.

Ordered online and received my order quickly, but one of my movies was someone else's return. Reshrink wrapped and the disc had marks and crap all over it. Shit happens though. Tried calling my closest Best Buy, and it just takes you to the 1-800 number. After 15 minutes on hold, connected to a rep that can barely speak English. Told me thy would send a replacement. That was fine. Then she said she can't give me a replacement because there are no more available. I told them that's fine, I'll just take a refund. She told me they are only authorized to give a replacement and no refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor. After 20 more minutes of waiting, she tells me the supervisor is busy, but she was authorized to make a one time exception and refund my money. The whole thing was a massive pain in the ass, and I'll still shop in store, but I'll never order online from them again.

Just thought I’d post to say that I’ve been waiting to talk to someone on the Best Buy customer service line for 45 min now. I decided to just stick it out and see how long it takes.

Every company now states that they are “currently experiencing a higher call volume than usual” and thanks you for your patience. This is just an excuse to provide awful customer service.

I mean, is there even anyone there really?

I’ve gotta say, I’m a bit flabbergasted. I placed an online order for an Open Box - Excellent (Geek Squad Certified) LG C2 for pickup. Got the email that it was ready so I drove out there. They couldn’t find my TV for about 15 minutes and when they did, they rolled it up and it was missing the remote, which it absolutely should come with. The guy went into the back and said he found a pile of LG remotes so let’s plug it in and make sure this one works. It did turn it on, which was good enough for me at the time, so I took it home. It was wrong, and was the one for the LG C1, which is fine honest mistake. But every time I click a button on it a big banner shows up saying “this remote is not supported by this TV”.

I called today to speak with someone and make sure they had the right one before I drove 25 minutes out there and Best Buy doesn’t even let you speak to a store directly anymore? The guy, Dino, was almost aggressively unhelpful. I think it is absolutely insane that a company won’t even let you speak to their local store and that all numbers route to the national helpline. Speechless. I’m not sure if that’s really the policy or if I just got a really unhelpful rep.

Anyway, I’m going to drive out there and hope that they have the right one.

Edit: i didn’t realize this was a hub for BB employees to defend their shit business model and downvote any criticism. My bad

First off don't buy open box big items online especially TVs, you have no idea what condition that tv is in and in your case you got the wrong TV entirely. As for missing remote that is pretty standard for open box, most of those are brought back by customers that change their mind after don't bring back all the parts, you would not have had any of these problems if you just went to the store and saw the tv before you bought it. As for the phone call, first off the phone hubs suck they constantly give customers the wrong information since they often have no idea what they are talking about. Customers than take that bad information in store and blame employees for something they have zero control over as there is zero communication between those phone hubs and store employees. As for you thinking you should be able to talk to an employee in store store over the phone I'm sorry but no, with the little amount of staff the stores already deal with there is no one in the store that has time to take your phone call just because you don't feel like driving down to the store. Not trying to be an ass but if you would have just gone to the store to see said open box TV in the first place none of this would have happened, it's completely on you for spending that kind of money without properly seeing the unit itself and asking questions at time of purchase.

I don't recommend buying open box items online. The system in place doesn't always catch or inform of missing parts.

After a week of back & forth with the most terrible CS about handling lost items ordered online, this is how they handle issues regarding your time & money.

Don’t shop with Best Buy online- they will gladly run you through circles than try to rip you off.

Had to get my bank to handle this mess today.
