I'm a finance student just looking for something that can run excel and have 20 tabs opened without lagging too hard. Another thing would be that the battery life can last at least 5 hours. I got the same exact laptop. I do a lot of research, writing and editing, have to look up tons of things on the fly, have 15+ tabs open, 10+ PDFs, text editors. This thing runs great, good battery life too. I love how big the screen is as well. One thing I want to say: I had no idea how reflective the screen is. I even tried at a BestBuy in person, didn't notice it there, but when I got it and started working in a room with direct sunlight, it really surprised me. The brightness isn't great (300 nits). Sometimes, I can see people behind me in my screen's reflection. Given the great price, I can more than live with it. Overall, I did not find anything with these specs (16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD), the amount of port selection (I wanted thunderbolt and HDMI to do laptop + 2 external displays), a 16" screen, good to very good battery at that price range. To me, the only downside is the glossy screen, but I've learned to live with it.

For the price I think it’s alright, it’s a decent laptop that should perform well. Don’t buy it if it’s not on sale like that though
