So i have a couple photos of the 10 usd reward certificate that they sent via mistery emails in batch, i have a shit ton of emails both gmail and hm or outlok, i know the passwords, but the website always tells me wrong password and i gotta reset them,
So i go the forgot password route, i have the reward certificate number and member id, is there any way i can know to which of my accounts goes to?
Also, if i go to store do they ask for anything at pos? Like verify name phone and etc, do i gotta buy it with that exact account? Or can i just scan and use it ? can just pay the difference if i get an item? Thank you guys.
And finally, how can i redeem it in an online purchase, do i need to login to the account is tied to? The enter promo tab didnt worked when i inputed the reward cert number.
Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone on here has ever come across the issue where their My Best Buy Visa card is linked to the wrong membership, despite the correct number being printed on their credit card and the credit card showing up in their My Best Buy account summary page.
The tl;dr is that I got divorced many many years ago and my ex-wife got her own My Best Buy membership. I kept my membership, which is printed on my credit card, but every time I receive a rewards email and click through I get the dreaded "not eligible for this offer" message.
If I click the link in an incognito window the offer is activated and I see her member ID there, which means my eligible purchases are going to her account. I don't want to close my membership as I've had it since 2006, but closing the credit card and starting anew means I'd take a hit to my credit score. At the same time there is no benefit to the card if I am not getting the rewards (I guess the financing is good). My Best Buy support is being helpful but over the course of 2-3 cases and much correspondence they haven't resolved the issue. Any ideas?
I reported my card lost or stolen right after I saw the charges but how can I stop this from happening again if someone can just randomly charge a bunch of shit to my account? I would hope they would at least check ID but that obviously didn’t happen. I already disputed with the bank but can see the person already returned the items to two different locations. What stops them from doing this again? I’m tempted to go talk to the manager of the actual store to find out how this actually happened. Is there any point to contact Best Buy or just let my bank handle it?
Hi.
Recently made a purchase for $25 at Best Buy. They required my ID which I didn’t have on me at the time and refuaed to take the photo I have of my ID front and back. Is this new? I used my credit card and never been ID. I just bought a $6k PC last month with the card and they didn’t even ID, same store. They caused a whole issue and wouldn’t even let me buy my merchandise because they thought my card was fraudulent bc I didn’t have ID only a photo. Is this a new practice? If so this is kind of ridiculous that last month they let me buy a 6k item with no verification but won’t let me with a $25 item.
I sent my Laptop for repairs though UPS Ground, but the item got lost in translation. They said that I need a receipt for the Laptop in order to process to the next step for compensation. I don't have the receipt, might have lost it. First, I went to the Best Buy Store (The place where I purchased the Laptop), but they said that it's not possible to get a copy of the previous receipt over 3 years. They told me to call Best Buy if they can go pass the records over 3 years. I called, but they told me the same thing (Can't get receipt over 3 years). What is the best course of action that I should try next or is it impossible to get a copy of the receipt?
