It's hit or miss with Best Buy Open box, sometimes I've gotten stuff that seems brand new, like the buyer just returned it without opening it. Sometimes is basically new, all the packaging is missing, but all the parts are there, not marks or scratches and it all works great. Once or twice I've gotten something that is visibly damaged to the point where I would not want to be the owner, and I had gotten some open boxes where the device does not work at all.
