Last Sunday I went into the store and asked to the guy there if they had the Pixel 9 unlocked, he said yes. Even the card besides the Phone said unlocked. I paid the full amount for the $650 (there was a discount), no subscription, nothing.
Today, Wednesday I finally had the time to setup the phone since I have been busy and I had to travel. To my surprise when I put the SIM from my carrier the Phone said that it was not supported and I had to contact MINT if I wanted to get my phone unlock, then it showed me a Webpage from Mint where it said that I had to wait 60 days after activation with Mint to get the phone unlocked.
Now I am out of the US and I cant use the phone since there is no BestBuy here, I wont be back until January. So was this a screw up from the clerk? Will they change the phone if I bring it in? They made me sign a 49 USD return policy fee.
Any way I can unlock the phone so I can use my SIM card?? Help is appreciated.
Hi folks,
I've been considering jumping over from iPhone to Pixel 9 Pro. I used to be on the Samsung train, but I am looking for a lot more in terms of privacy (which Apple could never make happen to begin with) and customization (which I had great experiences with my previous Android OS' regarding).
Best Buy has what looks like a pretty sweet deal for a 256gb unlocked 9 Pro - $749.
I'm of the mindset that I'm not gonna wait for the 10 unless there's an extremely compelling selling point to it.
Is this a good deal to jump at? Or should I wait for the Memorial Weekend sales for it to possibly drop more? (not sure if this is it)
Thank you
The best buy deal is better than the 30% off given to play members. A 256GB pixel 9 is at $590 after tax at best buy not bad at all.
