What is the best camera settings and feature to use when taking photos and videos with an iPhone 13? I'm going to New York this December and want to make sure i get the best photos and quality. I'm not bothered about saving space as I'm going to pay for extra storage on iCloud when i go. So storage probably wont be an issue.
I want to try photographies as hobbie because I have Iphone. But when I tried take a picture I feel all the pictures I take is a let down. I know one reason because I am a newbie with iphone. Can you guys share any tips about this and I want to post it on instagram to as stories and post. Any suggestion may helping my problem

So recently I went to the store recently and i compared my iphone 13 camera to the iPhone 13 present in the store there was a major quality diff.. Can anyone tell me why does that happen? Edit: I asked the apple guy he said they make the demo phones different all together.
Hey!
So, my iPhone’s running iOS 26, and my picture quality are getting worse. It looks grainy, when I want to take zoomed picture it’s awful… I’m not too happy with the final look. The pictures looks better at night (videos are still fine, at least!)
Here are my settings: Did I mess something up? What are yours like? I’m really not a fan of my pictures anymore.
Hi has anyone got any recommendations for any apps and iPhone camera settings when it comes to photography? I'm new to this.
Many thanks

Both for photos and videos
Does anyone have a good guide for camera settings on an iphone to take quality pictures at night?
What are some essential camera tips/tricks on the Iphone 13 for beginners that make a lot of difference in photo/video shots?
I just recently discovered that the lighting of the front camera when on video mode is so much better than taking an actual photo. So if you use video instead of photo when taking a selfie... you're actually going to get better results. It's not going to look dark and grayish, AND YOUR PORES AND WRINKLES ARE NOT HIGHLIGHTED. Also, you can just pick the video frame where you look the best.
Edit: This is for those who have iPhone 13 and newer who hate their front camera
There’s been posts and lengthy articles on this topic but responses vary and they’re often complicated.
I’ve ruled out ProRes Log, but everything else I’m not sure about.
Here are some examples:
Enhanced Stabilization
Action Mode Lower Light
Auto FPS
HEIF Max or ProRAW Max
Apple ProRes
Prioritize Faster Shooting
I enjoy taking photos. Capturing the scenery etc. The photos I take will just be posted to my private Instagram account but I still love to take high quality images. I have a 12 pro, I like my camera and yes I have tried newer phones but went back to my 12 pro. These are some settings that I am confused by, I don’t know which is best. I want my photos uploaded to my socials in the highest quality, it will only been seen by family and friends but I like to have good photos to look back on. So whatever is the best to upload without the quality going weird and compressed :)
Should I have camera capture in format settings set to high efficiency or most compatible and why?
Should I have Apple ProRAW on or off? Why?
On photo settings should I choose optimise iPhone storage or download and keep originals? If it is set to optimise iPhone storage would I be uploading lower quality images to my social media?
My camera has been looking not the best. What are the ideal camera settings?
