Had a few Cannon's, most recent was a Pixma something or other. Decent enough, no real complaints. Had a few Epson's, most recent is a XP-6000. Pictures just look better, accessories easier to use (like printable CD's) and my only problem with it was just solved (downgrading the firmware to make aftermarket inks work again). Not sure I'd specifically pick any 1 brand over any other beyond "Fuck HP" but I have liked all the options the XP-6k has and the print quality even with "crap" aftermarket inks is better than the Pixma was.
