If she doesn’t end up liking it or just generally leans more towards SUV/Crossover, look at the Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4 or the Mazda CX5. Could also look at a Toyota Venza. Our daughter is turning 16 and we are trying to shop for a used vehicle for her under 10k and around 100k miles. She’s very tall so maybe a midsize suv would be better? Any recommendations for or against would be great.

None. A classic car is a terrible choice for a teenager. A classic car is much less safe to drive for anyone, let alone an inexperienced teenager. Safety improves every year. Even a few years makes a big difference in safety. It will require more and costlier maintenance. Costs that a teenager will have a much harder time to bear, and that they possibly won't know how to do. It will also be much less reliable, especially one for under 10 K. Unless you have a dedicated spot in a garage for it, and the time, tools, money, and experience to work on it, you'll be much better off with a good modern used car. More on reddit.com

I am getting close to my permit and my parents finally said to go and look for a car around 7-9k max. I want something that looks nice(I’m a teen, we don’t have matured taste lol) but isn’t too over the top (bmw, Audi like ) but has a minimum for 4 seats that are not cramped and tight(Camaro). I am willing to learn how to wrench and maintain a car but not to spend over 1k on it for at least the first few years. So far I have been looking at the bmw 335i but have been scared by the high maintance costs. Any other reccs you guys have? I live in Cali if that helps with prices. Let me know if I missed anything.
