"This place has a really cool concept. They do fresh pasta and brick oven pizza where you order at the counter and then take a number and they bring you your food so it is a quick casual concept. The staff are really nice. They always make sure you have a full glass of water. For dinner, I got the pasta, pictured and pizza and my friend ordered the dessert for us with vanilla gelato. Everything was delicious. Also I think it's important to know that the food also heats up very well. The next day for leftovers which doesn't always happen with other places you go to overall I would recommend."

Any recommendations for restaurants in downtown Montclair, specifically the Church Street area? Looking for quality (possibly even locally-sourced) food, but doesn't have to be fine dining - would actually prefer it isn't.

I'll be visiting Montclair in 2 weeks to look at apartments as I'm moving there from Minnesota in April.

Will take any coffee shop and bakery recs, too!

Raymond’s Zeugma Samba Please miss Cuban Pete’s. Their labor violations have been well documented and you can find better Cuban food a few towns over.

I love Veggie Heaven on the corner of valley rd and Lorraine ave. It's a cute sit down Chinese place with 100% vegetarian food. Even if you're not veggie, it's lighter than regular Chinese. Brick Lane curry house is pretty great too if Indian food is your thing. It's a small place so call ahead.

Looking for some recommendations in montclair that would be good for a date. Last time my girlfriend and I went to da pepo and really enjoyed it. Looking for that kind of vibe. Not a huge fan of Italian, but that place was excellent. I thought Le Souk was great as well.

Open to places outside Montclair as well. Thanks!

Fauborg is our go-to for a nice dinner. Mesob is very good and an interesting experience if you've never had Ethiopian. Ani Ramen is excellent if you're looking for something a little more casual. As somebody else mentioned Zeugma is very good Turkish/Mediterranean

Zeugma in the Siena is good middle eastern as is Uncle Momo. Toro is good Turkish. DeNovo is more Mediterranean/Italian.
