Hello,
I'm a journalist (writer) and i start making videos. I use a Zoom H1N but it's not good enough anymore. I would like to buy a lapel microphone. I'm a bit lost as I don't know anything about it. Should I buy an omnidirectional one ? I read this but for me it doesn't make sense as I only want to record my voice. Also, I would like a microphone that is able to cancel the background noise, as my apartment can be noisy (the tramway is in the street).
For the price, I'm not sure because it's a professional spending, but the cheapest is always the best :-)
Do you have any advice ?

It’d be helpful to get a better idea of what you’re going to be doing with the microphone. Lots of vloggers these days seem to be using the rode wireless go 2 system. For a more traditional interview mic you could go with a good old EV RE50.

Wired lav mics are much less expensive than wireless and have a lower problem rate. Don't buy wireless unless you absolutely need it. 99% of the time for an interview, you should go for wired.
