I've heard those fb pro's and they are pretty nice and for that price I honestly dont think they can be beat, but for a little less mid bass you could do the mf6.1 for around half and they sound good as well. Are going to be running an amp on them? Are you going be be treating the areas as well? ... Honestly either of the two options you chose are gonna be good especially if you are working with a budget as I assume you are with those two choices? I believe there is a 3 way set of the Phd for sale on the site still for like $275 dollars. The other component set I would be looking at it is these.

I've never heard anybody describe any Morel tweeter as "harsh" they are detailed yet smooth some will even say laid back. The bass was good in my setup, but my doors were sealed and deadened which helps. Your install will dictate what performance you can get out of them. For 169.99 I don't think they can be beat for a off the shelf passive set.
