I live in Austin and tend to get super sticky in my sleep. So far I have had decent success with 400 TC Cotton. I also lliked my experience with bamboo and Lyocell but wondering if there are any others I haven't considered. Not super interested in Linen, the texture is a bit weird to me.

I'm looking for something more cooling, as I get so warm at night. My room is the warmest in the house and I've tested it several degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the living room. I have the vent blowing but it doesn't work well.
Well I have a cotton comforter but it's a bit thick and I'm thinking to swap it out. Every brand I look into seems to have pros and then there is one or several comments with major cons. Here is what I've looked into so far.
Peru Pima: This one flew under the radar and I wasn't able to find much online but the people who had them did love them. I found a few comments saying they lost their softness after a wash and began to pill.
Rest Evercool: This one has tons of controversy, not being cooling, customer service, pilling, etc. At a glance it looks perfect but I'm not inclined to buy based on price and complaints.
Aeptom Eucalyptus Lyocell Comforter: An option I found after some digging but doesn't have much to back it up.
Sijo Clima TempTune Comforter: This comforter seems to fit the bill but there are complaints of returning and customer service being a nightmare.
And then there's a lot of opinions and reviews saying bamboo, but bamboo is really rayon and bad for you, cotton is the way to go, but then that rabbit hole goes deep too :P
Having to weed out who actually enjoys their comforter, and who is a paid ad, damn! What a world we live in. I feel bad for those who are less internet-savvy.
Can anyone recommend a cooling comforter or blanket that is high quality and not super thick? (if it's thick but cooling that's fine [I'm looking for something to keep me cool]).
TLDR: I can't find a good cooling comforter. Can anyone recommend or do you have any reviews based on the brands I mentioned?
I always get very hot at night, so breathable bed sheets are a must for me. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations (both budget and high end) for breathable bed sheets?
It doesn’t really need to be absolutely BIFL.
Hey fellow furnaces of the night! I'm on the hunt for a legit cooling comforter that won't turn into a sweat trap by 2 AM. I've narrowed it down to two options but could use real-user experiences before pulling the trigger.
Option 1: Bedsure Cooling Comforter
Claims to use "3D airflow technology"
Bamboo-derived rayon cover
Medium weight (good for year-round use?)
Option 2: Evercool Comforter
Specifically markets to menopausal women (I'm not one, but if it works...)
"Phase-change" cooling fibers
Lightweight design
About me:
Sleep HOT (like, wake-up-drenched hot)
Mostly a side sleeper
Prefer something that doesn't feel plasticky
Need machine-washable
I'm looking for a queen size sheet set, and cooling is my highest priority as I sleep quite hot. In terms of budget, I am hoping to keep it under $100-$150, as it is my first sheet set starting my post-grad job that I'd like to last for a long time.
I've heard good things about cotton percale weave specifically, and Quince is a brand that is within my budget. However, I wanted to field the opinions of others who have more experience on this topic. Should I be looking at other options, or what brands should I also be considering? Thank you in advance!
Percale? Linen? Something else? We'd love to hear what keeps you cool in the warmer months and if you had to do any trial-and-error to find the perfect fabric for you.
I have night sweats really bad so I decided to invest in two cooling comforters. The first one didn't work that well. It was $80 and made by cozy Bliss In the description it says: Q-Max > 0.4 cooling fabric, which can brilliantly absorb body heat and humidity, accelerate moisture evaporation and reduce skin temperature by 2 to 5 ℃ Material is Nylon OEKO-TEX certified fabric, filled with 100% poly down alternative It had a 4.5 rating and most of the reviews were good hot sleepers
I returned it and I got a different blanket that is overtime as $229. I got it for half off so $115. HLLBLL® Cooling Comforter, Ultra Cold Fiber Technology It has five stars out of 118 rating. When I got it it was only 4.8 rating. Material Nylon, spandex, ultra cold fiber It does not have a q rating index which made me a little hesitant It says lightweight and moisture wicking and it posts five times the moisture absorption and lightweight
I just sweated in that one
For reference my room is at 16° c (60.8° F) on turbo fan and then I have a ceiling fan that's on and then I have my window open. I live in the Southwest, where it does drop 20° at night and reaches 65° But it is hot and dry in the day. My mom says it's cold in my room but it's not cold it's cool if anything. But I do sweat with the environment cool.
I don't want to spend any more money on expensive blankets if they don't work Does anyone have any suggestions?
I live in an old country house with poor insulation and no central air. Sometimes it’s hotter in the house than it is outside 😩 We have a portable ac, 2 big fans, and a ceiling fan all blowing in the room. It’s still not cool enough to use with a thin blanket & sheet. I often find myself waking up sweating.
ETA: We used to have a window unit but it crapped out. Bought it pre Covid for around $250/300 and now the same unit is like $700+. Also fun fact about my weird body… if the room is too cold I’ll wake up hotter. I guess I bundle up more in my sleep vs kicking a foot out or leaving an arm out or sheets down more 🤷🏻♀️ Most regular window units are too small for this room.
What are the best ~affordable~ cooling sheets, pillows, blanket, mattress protector, & mattress topper? Bonus points if you include cooling sleepwear! I don’t want to spend $100+ on a single pair of pajamas but if a set of sheets & blanket are a little pricier for something that works well and is worth it then I’m open to splurging a little on long term comfort. We’ve even thought about getting the fan that blows under the sheets 🤣
I'm living in an old home with no central AC and it's been a difficult summer. I tend to sleep hot and sweat, so I'm looking for sheets that can keep me cool and feel soft but aren't too much outside my limited budget. Any suggestions for online shopping? I was looking for percale because I like that crisp style at hotels.
I know this has been asked so many times but i always have to flip my purple cooling pilllw 180 bc it runs hot. I was considering the Bedgear Night Ice Performance® Pillow if it actually works.
Would appreciate any feedback as I have sleep apnea and have trouble sleeping as is 😭
Thank you 🙏
The dreaded time is on the horizon.... summer! 🫠
I have tried expensive bamboo Rayyon sheets. I have tried 300 count sateen weave cotton and I woke up drenched like someone threw a bucket of water on me.
I need the absolute coldest sheets known to man! Something where I won't cook to death while sleeping. Is 100% cotton really the best way to go? Because the cotton sheets I tried didn't help and stayed damp for hours.
Do I also have to replace my mattress pad with something else to help? Right now it's just a thin style of mattress pad, nothing big or thick. Any advice is greatly appreciated to help me survive the approaching hell!
I sleep a tad warm at night. It's not a full on sweat. But I can tell I'm extremely hot in bed. I have tried a cooling pillow from Serta, didn't like how high it was. So I gave it to my Dad who loves it. I tried a couple of different brands of cooling sheets and I feel like they don't work. I tried the Koolaburra by Ugg cooling sheets. While they are comfortable I just don't feel cool. Then I tried cooling sheets from Serta and I hated how those felt so I returned them to Kohl's. But neither one really made me feel cool. Same with the pillow. Any suggestions? I was looking at some Columbia ones called omini freeze. Or Madison Park brand. I don't want to spend a ton of money. Just want to feel cooler at night. So what do you guys recommend for pillows and sheets? For a pillow I was looking at the Purple Harmony one.
I often find myself struggling to sleep because of how overly heat sensitive I am. Even with the weather being 40F currently, I still find myself tossing and kicking down my non-fitted sheet. Just looking for recommendations on cooling sheets that won't cost me an arm and a leg - unless they're really worth it.
Current bedding situation:
I currently have a pillow top mattress, which I know probably isn't the best for cooling, but I don't have several hundred to utilize for a new one haha. Additionally, an apartment complex I lived at years ago had an issue with bedbugs, so I have a waterproof bedbug cover on my mattress and box spring that probably doesn't help as well, but I refuse to get rid of that extra reassurance. :P
Any vetted recommendations? Links to sheets, brands, types of fabric, I'm really looking for any resolution.
so, i’ve only used 100% cotton sheets 600 count the past few years and i like them but i simply run too hot during the night. i ordered some bamboo viscose sheets from sijo as they promised to be cooling. i initially liked the texture of them and they definitely keep me much cooler than cotton sheets but i’ve only had them a week and they’re already snagging and the texture is getting rougher (like it’s going to start pilling)☹️ i also ordered eucalyptus tencel lyocell sheets from them that i haven’t received yet. i’m worried the texture might do the same thing as the bamboo sheets and with the price i can’t justify it. i’m considering 100% mulberry silk sheets as that’s what my pillow case is but idk what to buy now. looking for something less than $300 with a fitted sheet, top sheet and two pillow covers. (oeko-tex certified) preferably with a try it and return it policy. let me know if you have any recommendations. thank you!!
In recent years I have become a hotttt sleeper to the extent that some nights I literally get up and change pajamas in the middle of the night! I have a purple mattress with a purple mattress protector (re: night sweats). I use Threshold 100% cotton sheets from Target, which I have been generally happy with.
I am in need of a new comforter / duvet / quilt of some kind, ideally under about $160. I nearly die with any kind of polyester bedding, so I believe I am going to need 100% cotton for both shell & fill (I am not familiar with all the fabric names out there). I would love to find something cute / trendy, not just a plain solid color. But at this point I’m so exhausted by my endless internet searching / constant sponsored posts that I just want to narrow it down to a couple of actual top contenders.
For reference, I live in Houston where there are maybe 2 nights a year that we turn the heat on. The other 363 nights I have the a/c cranked and the ceiling fan on high. And I still sweat most nights. 🙃

Hello! I’ve tried Dosaze and Tempur-Pedic but none stay cool throughout the night. I’m willing to spend top dollar for a pillow that stays cool all night. My friend purchased a Threshold cooling pillow but it seems to be discontinued. Any suggestions?
I don't need cooling bed sheets. I need COLD bed sheets.
I sleep with my AC on 60 degrees but must have some type of a blanket to fall asleep. So I use a flat top sheet only, for this purpose. I want sheets that are cold in the wintertime as well, because of course the house heater will be on.
My price range is around $150, not over $180. I'm currently debating LL bean, West elm, Riley, Snowe, and Sheets and giggles.
The sheets I liked that ended up ripping were Walmart hotel-style Egyptian cotton sateen weave 1000 thread count. I recently purchased them again, but they aren't made like they used to be. I think I can find colder sheets than these Walmart sheets that warmed up a little after being in bed for 5+ minutes. I guess this is because it has a sateen weave instead of a percale weave.
Thanks!
