Can I use a single wired headset with both my DECT phone and my mobile phone?
Generally, no. These headsets are specifically designed with an RJ9/RJ11 connector for DECT phones. To use them with a mobile phone, which requires a 3.5mm or USB-C connection, you would need a separate adapter, which is not typically included.
Are these wired headsets compatible with all DECT phones?
While our wired headsets are designed for use with DECT phones, compatibility can vary by brand and model. They typically connect via a standard RJ9 or RJ11 telephone jack. We recommend checking your specific DECT phone handset for a compatible headset port to ensure a proper connection.
What is the difference between a headset for a DECT phone and one for a computer?
The primary difference is the connection type. Headsets for DECT phones use an RJ9 or RJ11 plug to connect directly to the telephone handset, while computer headsets typically use a USB or 3.5mm audio jack. Using the correct type is essential for both functionality and audio clarity.
Any ideas would be great. So I have a landline phone. Requires phone Jack. But I’m curious if anyone found a way to make it witless? Ty
I work from home and have been using the Voyager 5200 Bluetooth headset with my cellphone. However the call quality on my cell phone is unreliable. I also have a 2 line landline office phone from Poly that has a 2.5mm jack. It has an on the ear headset that has a tube that picks up sound. Problem is that it also picks up my desk fan (which the Voyager does not). I bought a cheaper headset on Amazon that had a foam piece over the mic. It was worse than the tube headset. Can someone recommend a headset that would work for my situation? I also tried an 'Office' Bluetooth gizmo from Poly that plugged into the jack but I couldn't get it to connect to my cell phone. Thanks.
