I have a mishmash of Milwaukee, Hilti, and Dewalt cordless tools.
Had been using a rigid cord, but the cord just gets in the way and not all my vehicles have the proper power.

I've been doing some reading and see some complaints about suction on cordless models. But those complaints are also mixed in with 5 star reviews that say it's the best shop vac ever. So it's hard to know what to believe.
I have Ryobi 18v, Bosch 18v and Milwaukee M12 batteries already. Yeah I know it's a lot of ecosystems but I'm okay with that.
Any feedback on any of those lines and if they have a shop vac that performs well?
I was contemplating getting a cordless shop vac. But the runtime for a 6ah battery is only 20 minutes. I was looking at the rigid handheld NXT just for reference. Any thoughts?
hey folks I need a cordless shop vac that can suck up sand and leaves and debris inside a shed where no power cord can reach. I can sweep out some of it but the rest I need to get a nozzle into the nooks and crannies.
Preferably one that has an internal bag that can be HEPA but I can live without that if I wear a mask when I'm doing this.
Under $200 would be my preference
Any suggestions?
I'm looking for a shop-vac for around the house, mostly for cleaning up my future woodworking shed, but also for garage / deck maintenance.
From my understanding, wired shop-vacs are much more powerful and can pick up heavier debris, but I really like the idea of cord-free cleaning (I got a Dyson stick for the house and just can't put it down) and I could use the same batteries as the rest of my DeWalt tools.
So I'd like to know, would you go for corded or cordless?
Thanks' y'all!
Looking for a cordless shop vac, would make emptying full drain pans in attics and unclogging the lines so much easier. Looking at the milwaukee as it seems to be the best, but is it even worth it? Or will the lack of power leave me reaching for my corded vac?
Looking for a good shop vac it’ll be suckin up mostly car dirt and litter for oil I’d like it corded cause cordless I’ve been unsatisfied your general use garage/shop stuff
I don’t need a 10 gallon or my current one is a 5 gallon but it doesn’t suck good if you get my meaning and yes the filter is as changed it’s probably over 10 or 15 years old and is very tired.
I'm really split. I'm not in either ecosystem and I use battery adapters so I don't care about that. The Bauer appears to be newer, somehow more powerful, more capacity, and cheaper. But the Hercules has a cord which seems super useful. I could get both on sale. Has anyone tried both of these? Or any feedback on either of them would be appreciated. I'd use them for small jobs or maybe for a bit of car detailing.
Am required by the new job to clean out the innards of condenser coils as a part of standard maintenance and am contemplating getting this thing as I use dewalt impact and hammer drill. Anyone have experience with this vacuum in particular? Also completely open to other recommendations if you guys have found more affordable or better alternatives
New homeowner and considering a brand. Both have pros and cons. I like how the Ryobi has the battery port on top and doesn’t make me have to open the lid like the Milwaukee, but I also love the packout system over the link system. I already know about the Ryobi hate in a lot of circles, but I don’t think it’s justified.
Anyone tried both? Can anyone compare run times/power? Price is $130 vs $200.
I'm in debate to see if it's better to get a cordless or a Cordes shop vac to detail my car . I live in an apartment so outlets is possible but I will need to run an extension cord . I was having my eye on the one from harbor freight. I already have bauer tools (Power drill , impact drill) and baur batteries (5ah and 8ah). I have a toyota camry that I will be wanting to clean.

Wanted to hear yalls thoughts
Been wanting to get a cordless shop vac, to the guys who have one. Is it worth it? The DCV 580 I have a corded shop vac but would like to Have a smaller one. That doesn’t take up as much real estate in the truck.

Looking at a Makita XCV11Z Any thoughts? I am used to the OG Craftsman Shop Vac from sears. Which has been amazing for many years and still works great. Would like something cordless though. Thoughts?
I have a lot of Makita tools, but when I was looking into a cordless wet/dry vac, I ended up with the Ryobi P770 because I saw a lot of reviews of that small Makita vac that showed pretty subpar suction.
But for dust extraction solely, I have a Makita VC004G that I'm very happy with. This one is dry only, but they do make them for wet/dry if you need that specifically. However, it's also pricey especially if you need to invest in the battery system.
Happy with my m12 fuel and m18 fuel vacuums. The m12 is good for a 12v but battery life sucks on a 6ah which is the largest 12v. Much better on the m18 fuel which I run 6ah batteries in with good life. Have the non-fuel m18 at work. Pretty good life with 5ah batteries. Won’t accept the large 6ah batteries
I’m playing with the idea of getting a small shop vac for home and work. For work I’d like the option of setting up pull strings for longer underground conduits at work. I have a rodder that’s only 300ft and sometimes see longer runs. Theres no access to a generator or customer power, just a dinky inverter on the van.
Is there a cheap one y’all would recommend? Does the length of the run matter? Some might be 400-700ft. Thank you.
I know that corded shop vacs have better suction power, but battery = convenience. Curious if a battery-powered shop vac, like a Milwaukee M12 or M18 Fuel, would suck hard enough for occasional vehicle vacuuming (and all the debris you typically find in a car).
