Hey,
I used to have Corsair 750w PSU on my old 8700k system, it was white and modular, think it was RMx series. Felt amazing to build with it, cloth cables and marked pin headers where they belong to.
My new build has 1000w gigabyte, think it's UD series, but can't be sure, wasn't me building this time. Was swapping the motherboard recently and disliked the PSU right away :)) The pin headers were not marked, new board had 8x2 CPU power lanes, had to search for second cable in the box then compare the pins to figure out it were PCIE ones, and there was no second CPU one. So had to use the single daisy.
Thought to swap to Corsair again, but outdated where the hardware stands right now.
The build is 9800x3d + 5080.

In all likelihood, your 750W PSU is still fine. Returning the new one would save you a nice chunk of change and make you happy so it's a win-win.

I have the RM1000x 2024 version in my build. The 12V-2x6 cables on the PSU have light grey colored ends to contrast the rest of the cable so that you can visually confirm that the cable is fully seated on both the PSU and GPU sides. https://imgur.com/a/AqXokzk The 2024 RM1000x is rated Platinum for efficiency. As for value its certainly not the cheapest 1000W PSU out there, but its higher quality than their RMe line and has 3 more years of warranty. Corsair customer service tends to be quite good as well.
