Should I upgrade to an 850W or 1000W power supply for better future proofing?
Can an RTX 4090 run on a 1000W power supply?
If I upgrade my power supply today, will it last 5 years?
Hey,
I used to have Corsair 750w PSU on my old 8700k system, it was white and modular, think it was RMx series. Felt amazing to build with it, cloth cables and marked pin headers where they belong to.
My new build has 1000w gigabyte, think it's UD series, but can't be sure, wasn't me building this time. Was swapping the motherboard recently and disliked the PSU right away :)) The pin headers were not marked, new board had 8x2 CPU power lanes, had to search for second cable in the box then compare the pins to figure out it were PCIE ones, and there was no second CPU one. So had to use the single daisy.
Thought to swap to Corsair again, but outdated where the hardware stands right now.
The build is 9800x3d + 5080.

Is RMx line is still best price value line?
-
What about 12v+2x6 cables reliability from Corsair?

Better alternatives?
Is it good PSU for 200$ or there is better with same price point? Buying for long term. Thank you!
