I want software that I can see just a few temperatures. I did use hardware monitor, but I can’t organize on my other screen while gaming just a few temperatures.I want to be able to select what temps I see.

So im wondering what suggestions people have for a program to monitor the gpu,cpu temps and memory

i currently have AMD adrenalin and Corsairs iCUE which both arent very accurate for everyhing

HWinfo64 is the usual "it does it all" but it can be a bit overwhelming if you're not sure what all of the sensor readouts are. It's got a learning curve, but it's basically the best out there.

MSI Afterburner is unanimously the best.

Hwinfo64 if you know where to look and what shortcuts mean what values. Coretemp for inner cpu temp inside the lid

MSI Afterburner. For basic stress testing, Cinebench and HWMonitor. You can also get Heaven for GPU stress testing.

I just built my first PC and would like to see if my fans are keeping the system cool enough. Is there an app or overlay i can have when gaming to see my FPS/temps and cpu/gpu usage?

Also if you could suggest a good CPU fan that is not RGB ( i prefer black but any color is fine ) it would be greatly appreciated. Im slightly new to PC building and am worried i will overheat.

I'd say MSI Afterburner. It uses the Rivatuner on screen display, which is great. The best thing about Afterburner is that it has its own GPU fan controllers. If you're not content with the gpu temps, just edit the gpu fan curve and you're good to go. Afterburner can also be used for gpu overclocking, in case you'd want to try it out some day.

I just finished my first PC build and went with a Ryzen 5 2600 and a Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ in a Sugo SG13 case. I won’t be doing any overclocking at all but I’d like to keep any eye on the usage and temperatures in the tiny case to make sure all looks good.

What program(s) would you suggest I use?

HWINFO64 and Adrenalin GUI.

Best - sure
Most accurate - I feel the need to comment that the sensors are what cause the accuracy, any different is a bug

I like hwinfo, its got an option to log to a CSV that I used once and never use again.

I semi-recently bought the MSi GTX 760 OC. I see on the box there are a few overclocking/monitoring software, but I just installed drivers via GeForce Experience, so I think I missed out on some good features.

I don't really like MSi Afterburner. Any suggestion for something I can download and keep on a second monitor to keep an eye on the status of my CPU/GPU?

I like Open Hardware Monitor

Has a widget, shows temp, usage etc. for CPU, GPU, HDDs and more.

Also has a web component if you wanted to check things remotely without logging into the computer.

CPU-Z and GPU-Z.

Looking to be able to monitor GPU/CPU temps in-game and would also like for it to have the FPS somewhere small in the top right corner of the screen. suggestions would be welcome, thanks!

Personally love using afterburner since its super customizable, although very specific (stupid) games like Destiny 2 dont allow the overlay, so i settle for keeping HWinfo open on my 2nd monitor.

Unless you have performance issues, I would recommend not worrying about that stuff while gaming
