Hi!
I'm expecting my b/g twins in January. I have a daughter who is two next month ☺️
I would like any and all advice re: going out with 3 under 3 and most importantly, did you need a bigger bag for your twins? My brain is thinking more babies, more stuff.
I like the one I have, but will likely keep using that for my toddler.
What did you use? All tips welcome 🤗

First time mom here, due with my twins in the next 2 months. I am looking for something that's been tried and true from other twin parents. I'm currently overwhelmed with all of the options on the market - I was set on the lululemon new parent backpack, until I realized it's only approx 17L, which doesnt seem big enough! I don't have a specific budget in mind (if it's pricey but you think it's worth the money, I'll entertain it!!), but would like a backpack style, and preferably something that isn't too flashy as I want my husband to willingly carry it as well if we're both out with the twins.
What diaper bag did you buy, and did you feel you had sufficient space to carry twice as many items as a parent of a singleton?
I would also entertain comments on what diaper bag(s) to NOT buy! Thanks!
I’m looking to upgrade my diaper bag since the current skip hop one I have just isn’t cutting it. I need something that’s easy to close with one hand/when hung over one shoulder, and that has lots of room for all the stuff that comes with having 2 babies. I’m looking at the Itzy Ritzy Boss and Boss + ones, I love the way they look, my current bag screams diaper bag, and I used to carry a small leather backpack before I had the babies so the Itzy Ritzy ones just feel more like me and I’ll grasp at any chance to feel more like my old self right now
Does anyone have the Itzy Ritzy bag that has any feedback? Or any recommendations for another backpack style bag?
I need a HONKING big bag and everything advertised as being large capacity is still so SMALL. To give perspective my workbag is an extra-large Jansport backpack I stole from Rebecca years ago. I need a diaper bag of comparable size that has good organizable sections/pockets so I can fit not only both babies' stuff but my stuff too (and I just mean my wallet/nook b/c rn my wallet by itself barely fits in my bag). I would like a backpack styled bag preferably, but need suggestions.
Does anyone have strong opinions about diaper bags for twins? I’ve done a little research and am thinking about pulling the trigger on the large Dagne Dover Indie bag. We’re not due til June but it’s on sale for Black Friday! Before I do, wanted to check in with the multiples crew to see if there’s anything specific I should be looking for. We don’t plan to have any others besides these two, and I definitely want something with a trolley strap. US-based for shipping. Thanks!
We’re expecting twins in April. We have a 3 year old already. With my singleton I used a small backpack as a diaper bag (just the essentials).
Now that we are having twins, I’m wondering if I need a bigger diaper bag? What did you use and what do you suggest?
I don’t think you necessarily need anything bigger than a regular diaper bag unless you plan to be away from the house for long periods of time regularly. I bought a regular size bag and it has enough space for a few diapers each, wipes, a few bottles, change of clothes and a few toys which is generally all we need when we go out. We’re rarely away from the house for more than a few hours at a time due to naps. As they’ve gotten older I’ve needed to pack fewer diapers and have replaced bottles with water and snacks and I still find it’s enough room. Highly recommend getting a backpack style bag instead of one that goes over the shoulder, so you can have both hands free.
We got a regular osprey daypack that was more like a commuter backpack (lots of compartments) to keep ourselves organized. The bags marketed as diaper bags all seemed poorly made and expensive for no reason.
What are your favorite BIG diaper backpacks on Amazon? (Amazon Canada if that makes a difference). I'll have twin babies plus my toddler who's still in diapers so I'll need enough room for 3 kids diapers and changes of clothes. Possibly also bottles if breastfeeding doesn't work out but hoping that it does.
(I'll also keep a caddy in the car with extra clothes and diapers for all but I like to be prepared lol)
Hi, see details above. Me and my wife are having twins in March and this is all new to us. We weren't sure if there were back packs specifically designed for twins?? Or if some were just larger than others. Thanks in advance!!
I have a regular diaper bag and it’s worked great for the boys (almost 8 months) so far. Packing it efficiently is key.
I have the Ruvalino Multifunction Travel Backback. It's very useful because it's designed for convenience and it has lots of storage for two. I got it from The Diaper Pail Depot. They have lots of options of diaper bag for twins. Check them out: https://diaperpaildepot.com/twinsdiaperbags/
Hello! My twin boys are due later this month (FTM) and I've realized I still don't have a diaper bag. What diaper bags do y'all recommend? I prefer backpack style ones. Thanks!
We just used a regular Jansport backpack. I tied cloth baby-themed ribbon to the zippers.
I agree with another poster : just a regular backpack.
I have one baby and bought a cute diaper backpack. It’s not comfy enough! Everytime we leave for a walk, I actually use my backpack from REI. Comfier, roomier. I would get dry/wetbags (which I have and love) and put them in a good backpack.
Hello! I am searching for an extra large or high capacity diaper backpack for twins (Each a year old.). This is a gift for my sister so price isn’t really an issue. I’m not too familiar with what she carries besides the essentials, but I do know that she would like something BIG that has a spot to store snacks and an ice pack. I would like to upgrade myself to something bigger (I only have one LO myself. Also a year old.) since I carry my lifevac with us in addition to all of the essentials, and my current diaper bag feels very crowded. Any recommendations? Thank you all in advance! :)
I have the mini itzy ritzy diaper bag from Amazon and love it! You can get the full sized version which is a bit pricy but worth it imo. I like mine because it has side and front pockets plus a changing mat. The front also opens all the way so no digging at the bottom of the bag to find what you need. I also get lots of compliments on how nice it looks so that’s a bonus lol
I really like my Dagne Dover backpack. It comes in 3 sizes. Lots of pockets plus pretty cute and not overly feminine.
Hi Parents of Multiples!
We are looking for a diaper bag and I was curious what the actual parents think about their bag. What I would like to know is the brand, pros and cons, and if you would buy the same bag again tomorrow. I understand we all have different budgets but at this point I am purely interested in bag’s functionality.
Thank you all in advance!
Someone bought us an expensive diaper bag from a trendy little baby store. Its a swedish brand (cant remember the name). Pretty big size and has two handle straps so you throw it over one shoulder. Overall a really nice looking bag.
We used it for about a week and then we realized how much easier and practical it is to use one of the old backpacks we have lying around in our closet. Theyre 2 now and we still use the same old adidas backpack that i actually used way back in high school so it was already pretty tattered.
In the end i say go for a durable backpack that you arent afraid to get dirty. Its just so much easier to wear something on your back as opposed to over the shoulder, especially with multiples as youll constantly need two hands/arms to do everything. You could get something nice but its just another thing to fuss over and maintain. Just my opinion though!
I got the Ruvalino (it was like $45) brand diaper bag on Amazon. It looks like a backpack but has tons of pockets/zippers/compartments for all babies needs. I used 2 for my twins and bought a new one for baby boy who is due next week ☺️
