I really prefer waking up to a slowly increasing light. I have a smart dimmer switch designed to run LEDs and incandescent bulbs but I cannot for the life of me find LED “dimmable” bulbs that don’t suck. All of them have no where near the dimmable range that incandescent bulbs have. They dim down fine to about half or third brightness then they either cut off or start doing that subtle flickering thing that hurts your eyes after like an hour. I find it so obnoxious that you can’t get incandescent light bulbs anymore. They dimmed perfectly because you can literally vary the temperature of the filament perfectly down to room temp. LEDs have their stupid forward voltage which kinda defeats the purpose of dimming.
Does anyone know what dimmable LEDs actually work when dimmed down to near darkness, but still have a decently bright peak brightness?
Or do you think the issue may be with my dimmer switch itself? It advertises compatibility with dimmable LEDs but it doesn’t work as well as I would like it to. Or is bad dimmability just the reality we live in now with incandescent bulbs basically outlawed in the US?
Update: It seems the problem was with the bulbs themselves which is frustrating because I was buying increasingly expensive bulbs with similar results. The only bulbs that appear to work properly are Philips dimmable bulbs equipped with their eye comfort tech, which are actually cheaper than a lot of other bulbs Ive tried. Im honestly amazed at how crappy most “dimmable” LEDs are today. My dimmer may have something to do with it, but honestly if an LED bulb doesn’t work with the cheapest of dimmers it shouldn’t be advertised as “dimmable”. I say this because ultimately the final smoothing comes from the electronics inside the bulbs, doesn’t matter how good or bad the dimmer is when the electronics inside the bulb suck.

So i've realized that LED bulbs lag to start, especially when starting in dim mode.
Now a small amount of lag is okay, but 2-3 seconds is rather annoying, so the 3 or 4 bulbs i need instant on, what brand do you recommend?
I want to iterate, I replaced all my light bulb LEDs with dimmable options. the old ones were INSTANT on. i mean less than 100ms, the new ones take a couple seconds to turn on if dimmed, but closer to 500ms if full power is given.
half a second is generally fine, but 2-3 seconds can be annoying. ESPECIALLY if the light is a pantry, and it's faster to reach in and touch the light switch, than wait for the light to kick on at 3 seconds.
Update: I can't find anything on this. So I am taking it upon myself to find the right bulbs. So far ge relax do "good enough" but the Philips ultra low energy ones (green box) turn on instantly but have this weird like flickery rebound effect for a second and they were 3000k I prefer 2700k.
