I've got one from ikea that was around 70 dollars. It's not real down feathers but it keeps me plenty toasty in my basement bedroom in Michigan winters! They have a real down feather one for $99 on their website that seems to have pretty solid reviews online. Hope this helps! More on reddit.com

I’ve been researching for MONTHS (embarrassing, I know) but I’m on the hunt for a luxurious, poofy, fluffy and lofty goose down comforter that’s not too hot. Tomorrow is Black Friday and with the sales coming, it’s going to be time for me to pull the trigger. So many comforters online say they’re luxurious and lofty but the customer photos show them as flat, pancake looking things. I’ve considered Pacific Coast Feathers, Macys Hotel Collection, Cuddledown and a few more. I was considering the Company Store but I read they were bought out and the quality isn’t as good as it used to be. I’d like to spend no more than $300-$350. Can anyone give any recommendations? I’m shopping for a new king size down comforter and wondering if anyone has found the perfect one to put in a duvet.. IKEA made one a while back that was fluffy, the perfect weight, and didn’t make any crinkle noises. They discontinued it for whatever reason, so I’m looking for something similar. I’d like it to be soft, mid-weight, very puffy, and relatively noise-less. I live in Southern California so not extra warm.
Any ideas?

Well. I can tell you this. I researched until my eyes were bleeding. Finally settled on the lightweight quince down comforter. I was sure this was ‘the one’. Wrong. It’s still itchy scratchy. Kinda noisy. And too hot even though I got the lightest weight one. The loft is amazing and I love that feeling of not being pressed down by heavy weight. Hoping it will get softer with time and winter chills will make the warmth ok. I’m a hot sleeper but I want that feel of a cozy comforter you know?
