Hey All,
Looking for a good sturdy folding table to do food prep and put a stove on and all things kitchen related.
Would prefer a lightweight table that folds away easily and doesn't take up too much room folded away.

A folding one from Walmart is fine. Anything branded for overland is gonna be dumb expensive

The ones at Costco, they’re just bomb proof. If you want to something semi fancy, I have found adjustable legs to be invaluable; I have the REI camping table. It’s finicky, and have had to adjust the leg clamps, but works great. I don’t have a good photo, but here’s one with the little Trager on it (~65 lbs). No messing around with balancing the thing, just put it wherever you want and adjust the legs to the ground. It’s one of those things I can’t believe I lived without out. Hopefully they improve the design, or others offer the same.

I live in a pretty tight space in Philadelphia and currently have a 48" round dining table. I love the table, but it's not suited to board gaming (which I do a lot of!). I'm hoping to find an expandable dining table that meets these criteria:
Attractive both extended and not.
Stable/good construction.
Seats 4 people when not extended. No upper limit.
Flexible on price.
It's been surprisingly hard to find this! I like the Ekedalen from Ikea, but my partner has a hard "no more Ikea furniture" rule. Does anyone know of other attractive extendable dining table options? I'd really appreciate any insights.

Ok so i’ve seen that a lot of extendable ones either look very awkward or are less sturdy when you pull them out. Plus space also becomes an issue in smaller apartments so something compact like a drop leaf style table. I’d probs advice to look for something with a steel frame and adjustable feet cuz that would help with the stability. I’m also gonna throw in this recc here which looks decent in terms of size and set up, i’m not saying it’s the one but it’s worth checking out. Pro tip: Use lighter wood finishes or glass tops cuz that’s gonna help make your space feel less cramped visually, idk if that’s something you care about.
