Im using cursor with Claude and Gemini, claude is better integrated but Gemini explains far better. However, the main concern you should have is that as a begginer (as am I) using AI will be truly detrimental to your learning if you let it do things for you, you won't learn anything. Unnecesary explanation moving forward: I use it because I was lucky to be added on a friend's project as a paid asset, and I have to get things moving in order to be of use, but I always ask the how to, why and deep explanations of everything is doing, while still trying my best to use any free time reading, practicing in jupyter and of course, always try to write my own code first. My suggestion if you are a beginner is to not engage with AI at all, or insist that the AI not write code at all. Instead ask it questions about the underlying mechanics of the language, and then try to build a few simple programs naively. If you get errors, do not ask the AI how to fix the errors. Instead, try to learn how to figure out what the errors mean. You will do yourself a disservice very quickly where you lose the ability to reason about your own code if you start with code generation.

A lot of people swear by cursor. I haven't really been seeking out any ai tools but copilot is free now in VSCode and I've found its decent. None of it is really recommended if you don't know the basics well enough to understand the AI generated code.
