I'm spending a lot of time bedside of a sick relative and could use some distraction/even kinda education.
My most recent favorite reads are The Martian, The Outsiders, and The One and Only Ivan
Edit: things I like learning about just this moment: Epigenetics(beginners level), plants(absolute noob level), biographies (moderate to advanced), History(as advanced as you please, just make sure it has nothing to do with genocide)

I have 10 hours to pass at work. Music is kinda getting stale. Any suggestions on audiobooks (open to anything), paranormal stories (preferably real) or history (creepy/paranormal, war, mysteries). TIA.
Why YSK: Audiobooks are a fantastic way to learn while working, driving, running etc. however they can be quite expensive.
Audible charges $15 a month for the some of the same books that are available for free on YouTube.
Whilst the quality of recordings may not be equal (YouTube versions can be read by an AI) sometimes it is same recording as on Audible.
Granted some newer books aren’t available, but most classics and popular books are.
EDIT: This is best for those based outside of the United States - who don’t have access to Libby or a monthly Spotify allowance!
