Iโve seen When Evil Lurks, Terrified, Late Night With The Devil, Caveat, Sinister and a few others but there have been my favorite so far. When Evil Lurks has been my favorite so far but I need some more recommendations. Help me out please! Maybe give a small synopsis of the movie as well! I like supernatural movies the most.
Edit: thanks for the reviews! Iโm gonna start by watching The Dark and the Wicked and Speak No Evil!
Event Horizon - a rescue crew investigates a space ship that has been missing for seven years
The Descent - a group of friends go cave diving and find out they're not alone down there
Coherence - go into this one blind :)
Get Out - dude goes to meet his girl's family and weird stuff starts happening
Cloverfield - found footage monster movie.
Cooties - a school's students are overcome by a virus. The staff fights for survival.
Hell House LLC - a group of friends open a Haunted house attraction in an abandoned hotel
Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum - The crew of a web-series livestream their venture into a Haunted asylum
Hellraiser - demonic beings are summoned by a puzzle box
Suspiria - weird creepy vibes at a dance institute
The Dark and the Wicked - family gathers at their father's home as he's dying.
Talk to Me - kids, being kids - get a hand that allows you to speak with/invite in the dead.
Totally Killer - this is kind of a kitschy slasher/comedy. Fun.
Knock at the Cabin it looks like is on there - I have not seen the movie, but read the book (Cabin at the End of the World) and I couldn't put it down. It's rough...basically a group of 4 strangers are brought together via various 'visions' and they show up at the vacation home of a gay couple with their young daughter.
Hell House LLC - found footage about a group of people who buy an old building to make a haunted house.
Creep (there is a sequel too) - found footage. iirc a guy places an ad for a documentarian to film him bc he's sick (?) and he wants footage for his kid maybe....anyway, great.
We're All Going to the World's Fair - a sort of online ... ARG sort of game? This is likely a polarizing movie but I loved it. Basically a series of recording between a girl and man online. Both participating in an ARG.
Black Phone - a kid is kidnapped and getting messages on a phone from past kidnapped victims.
The Taking of Deborah Logan - possession movie.
Relic - mother and daughter go back to their matriarch's home bc she went missing - turns back up and seems fine - but...she's really not. This was one of the most recently movies I watched and I quite liked it.
And I don't remember what it's streaming on but you'd likely like The Cleansing Hour as well. About a team of people who livestream 'exorcisms' online.

Anyone know any good ones? Thanks.
I just saw The Lords of Salem and I was shocked at how good it was. I would say it was Rob Zombie's best work so far, a truly artistic vision.
I loved Hell House LLC, and I would recommend Bad Brian Ben. Fantastic one-man show.
Coherence was amazing!!!!!! I loved that movie lol
Videos
Budget is tight these days but still love me some horror.
Prefer supernatural/Lovecraftian, weird, more eerie and suspense, and less slasher.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I should have said I like in the UK, so my amazon prime won't be identical to the US - sorry - my bad. Thanks for all the recommendations!
We just got the service to check out the selection.
We have already watched Green Room and Blue Ruin based on recommendations we saw here.. thank you!
We are big fans of A24, Blumhouse and Lionsgate.
Thanks!
Edit:
We are going to watch recommendations all month. We will give a little review after and stars (out of 5) for each to say thanks and spread the word!
Preferably included for free on prime UK, what are some of the best horror films currently available? Whether mainstream or niche, Iโm easy. Creepy and good stories to the fore.
My favorite horror is psychological horror, supernatural, slashers, zombies and infections, comedy horror and splatter but I'm open to all kinds of horror movies except torture and extreme horror.
I often use Prime to watch (mostly terrible) horror movies, but I'm keen to root out the treasure among the trash.
Does anyone have any suggestions for movies offered without an additional Shudder subscription or similar that are actually worth watching?
I consider a horror movie to be a worthwhile watching experience if it has one good scene or one interesting idea executed reasonably well, so even if a movie was otherwise pretty bad it's probably worth mentioning!
I watched a Shit Ton of movies recently, and at this point I feel like I've seen every horror movie that's worth watching on all my streaming services. Please tell me I haven't! Here is a list of everything I've seen lately:

As someone who has just joined this sub, I was wondering if there are any good horror movies you can recommend?
I like Rosemary's Baby, The Shining, Escape Room, The Ring- psychological horror really.
EDIT: Thank-you everyone. This is a great community. I have a lot to keep me busy for the next little while!
I know this has been asked a bunch of times, and I've looked through most of the previous threads and found a couple gems. But I hate watching a disappointing horror movie.
For me, horror is subjective, and I'm not here to disagree or agree with anyone's suggestions.
Since you are all pros here, I'd like to list off a few horror movies I recently watched so you can get a feel for what I might like. Any help is appreciated. I'm trying to pinpoint exactly what type of horror I like.
I'll be upfront and say my only disclaimer is I'm not big on gratuitous gore and I prefer newer movies, although that's not a must. Obviously, if the villain has a chainsaw and the story takes place in Texas, there will be gore.
Hell House LLC - was a big fan.
The Triangle - was a meh fan. It had its parts, but I feel like it was trying too hard to jostle my head around.
The Blackcoat's Daughter - really left me wanting more. Didn't have enough to it?
Creep - was a big fan.
Black Box - not really horror persay, but I did enjoy this.
The Lodge - meh.
Crawl - tense but meh.
The Lighthouse - I'm dumb or this movie tried too hard.
Ready or Not - big fan.
Iโve watched many horror movies, but none of them feel as good as The Conjuring or Insidious. Can someone suggest some similar ones?
Does anyone have any good horror movie recommendations that is under the "free to me" category?
For the ppl who replied tysm im gonna watch all of them
Please recommend a horror film for my husband and I. We were thinking perhaps Companion, Together, Weapons, or Bring Her Back. Or maybe something else?
