I'm almost 17 and I've never gotten into video games and have been bored all my life it feels like I'm dying. What are good FREE video games within the last 25 years that I can play for 10,000 hours that are really addictive with a lot of players. Also, I am very bad at games I've been playing valorant for like 2-3 years and I'm still bad... I've never really played aimlabs. Me being so bad at games makes me feel like they are all boring and makes me wanna hack In them. What can I do? How can I make gaming fun? Please recommend games and tell how can I get good at the game or have fun with it. Thanks. Maybe give games that are not about being good, but are about the time you put in. Addicting games that can hook you and the more u play automatically the more u get better and it’s addicting.

Okay so here’s the list, sorted by genre and with my recommended ratings. I’ll add to this over the next 4 hours as I free up, so check back after a bit to see everything. (Of these I’d recommend POE the most fwiw) FPS: Valorant (Didn’t see you mentioned you play before. If you want to watch someone to improve, check out woohoojin on YouTube. He’s widely considered the best creator for growth) (9/10) Fortnite (7/10, didn’t love the game but it’s changed a lot over time) Counter Strike (5/10, hard to get into and very valorant adjacent) Smite (6/10, fun to play when drunk or high with friends) Destiny 2 (8/10 love it hate buying expansions) Apex Legends (7/10, fun but wasn’t very good. The better brother of Fortnite imo) Card Based: Hearthstone (2/10, W game, fuck blizzard) Gwent (9/10 love this game) Legends of Runeterra (7/10, enjoyed it not my cup of tea) MOBA: Dota 2 (7/10, it’s good but hard to get into) League (same as above) paladins (never played it) HOTS (5/10 liked league better) MMO / MMO adjacent: Path Of Exile (10/10, I am very addicted I love this game send help it’s exactly what you want) Eve Online (6/10, love the game but it’s an excel simulator ngl) Warframe (8/10, never got the same pull as POE for me but still loved it) planetside 2 (never played) last epoch (6/10 p2w as fuck) torchlight infinite (8/10 really fun, mobile is great too) dauntless (never played but heard it’s super fun) Fighting Games: Idol showdown brawlhalla (10/10, I love smash so this was great for me to pick up and play) multi versus (3/10 I don’t like it but try it I guess) Other?: Rocket league (7-8/10, hard as shit but fun) world of tanks (never played) war thunder (never played) Team fight tactics (liked hearthstones battler better but it’s fun 5/10) spelunky classic (7/10 loved spelunky2, this was a downgrade in comparison) enlisted (fun game) shatterline (roguelike) Omega strikers (6/10 played on release and didn’t like it that much but heard it’s way better now) Romhacks and Fangames: (think pokemon, or any OG DS/GBA game) Pokemon infinite fusion Pokémon unbound Pokémon insurgence Pokémon reborn Pokémon emerald rogue Pokemon renegade platinum Pokémon blaze black Pokémon vintage white Pokémon conquest Pokémon mystery dungeon Mario, megaman Metroid ninja gaiden etc, there’s literally an infinite of these that are good, and alter game difficulty or strategy for free

Hey everybody, What do you think are the best free games for PC (open-world, fps, etc)? I'm honestly looking for some good recommendations.

Edit: Thanks for all the great suggestions! I really like the look of Delta Force. Idk if anyone has commented and open world games tho, maybe similar to RDR2 or GTA.

Helloo, so I’m kinda new to this whole PC gaming scene and slowly getting into it. I was thinking of starting with some free stuff on Steam to see what I vibe with. Figured I'd ask here since y’all probably know way more than I do.

What are the best free Steam games worth checking out in 2025? Is it better to go for solo gaming or multiplayer ones?? How’s the community on the multiplayer ones? Welcoming or toxic??

Are there any that surprised you by how good they are for being free? Also open to any tips for someone new to Steam in general. Appreciate the help

I’ve started to realize that I spend a lot more time on my computer/laptop than any other electronic device. I enjoy doing the daily games you can find around the internet but I just can’t seem to find any other good web browser games. Anyone out there know any good ones that are fun and to cure my boredom?

So I wana try out new games on steam or outside of steam, just PC games in general, but Im on budged and by budget I mean Im broke. So can you please recomend any good free game.

Game types I do not like:
CoD and first shooter games in geneeral
Fortnite (I like PvP games but not this one)
Leage of Legends and any similar games (I genually dont like this type of game, it looks boring for me)
Most Horror games (I said most not all because I like RE and Pumpkin Panic)

Games I do not want to be recomended but I like:
any RPG game
(seriosly modern GoW games and wynncraft, it takes way too much time just for the grind, at least GoW has good story tho)
