Amazon changed its video platform and has made the “free” part hard to find without ads. I don’t know where to find some of the best anymore. Everyday there are changes in price and channel. Lately I go to JustWatch.com to find best pricing and sources. March 22, 2025 - But, IMO, the best gem that no one talks about is Undone. Absolutely incredible. Very fast watch, too. Only two seasons with less than 30 minute episodes. ... Invincible. The boys. Gen V ... Looming Tower if it’s still on. Miniseries about 911. It’s the reason I originally got Amazon prime years ago and here I am still going.

r/AmazonPrimeVideo on Reddit: Suggestions of free shows/movies free with Amazon Prime?
August 29, 2023 -

I’ve got almost all the streaming services (Netflix, Max, Showtime, Paramount, Peacock, Apple etc). I also have Amazon Prime since I order a lot of things off Amazon. I’ve tried looking for good shows through Amazon Prime but almost never find them, so I haven’t been looking lately.

With the strikes in Hollywood, I notice my watch queues are dwindling so I thought I’d give Prime a chance again. Would love suggestions for either shoes or movies (but I prefer bingeable shows).

Here are shows I really love:

  • Severance

  • Silo

  • Physical

  • Ted Lasso

  • Homecoming (that was on Prime a couple years ago and I liked it a lot)

  • The Crown

  • The Queens Gambit

  • The Good Wife and The Good Fight

  • Documentaries (based on politics, space, or technology)

  • The Witcher

  • Game of Thrones

  • Not Okay

  • Yellowjackets

  • The Great

  • Handmaid’s Tale

  • The Undoing

  • Big Little Lies

Probably a bunch more I’m forgetting. I like thrillers, mystery, dystopia, prestige tv, political stuff

Title. For Prime, I started the first few episodes of Outer Range, but there just isn't enough going on to keep me interested. Rings of Power was gorgeous too look at, but was too boring. Wheel of Time also looked very good, had quite a bit happening, but was back and forth on pacing. I like stuff where there is a lot going on, has a good pace, any ones you recommend?

I rarely use Prime Video because it doesn't have extensive catalogue of content as Netflix for example and if I do it's to catch up on popular shows currently streaming. From the most popular ones I've seen the Boys but lost interest along the way and haven't seen a new season. Will have to catch up on it. Which other shows would you recommend to watch that are currently good or popular on this streaming service ? I bought a subscription again so looking for recs.

Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions. So many of you mentioned Reacher and Wheel of time so i’m probably gonna watch these shows first. Expanse also seems to be popular so it’s in my watchlist too now.

I recently found out that you get prime video free with and Amazon prime subscription. So I'm making up for lost time and binging a bunch of shows. So far though, all I found that I actually enjoy is kitchen nightmares. I particularly like horror and animated shows, but I'll give most things a try. Bonus points if it's set in Wales or Japan. I love the Welsh accent and countryside and have been learning Japanese

Just got Amazon prime video for the first time. I'm interested it watching The Wheel of Time and Reacher because I've read those books. What are your prime video recommendations? What are the hidden gems and well known "must watch" shows? (Edit: I was not expecting so many responses, so Thank You! I have a lot of viewing to look forward to, which had really uplifted me today.)

I’m looking for good tv shows with a good IMDb rating to watch on prime video, the ones that already included in prime.

Struggling to find good things myself because their interface is kinda fucked and when I look things up through iMDB, RT, they not specifying whether I should pay extra or not.

I finished The Boys(was great), Mentalist which was great from the perspective that I liked the characters and was fun to watch, same goes for Supernatural (which have been removed unfortunately) And almost finished Mr Robot so I’m looking for a new show in advance that will keep up with that (8+ IMDb) TIA
