My wife and I recently moved, and we are finding it insanely hard to get furniture. We got a table from Furniture Row that is already beginning to break after only a month. Visits to "high end" stores reveal salespeople who apparently don't have any idea what they are selling. One Amish furniture store had us telling the sales person that we don't like gray colored wood. He thought for a moment and then said, "Well this is a nice light gray."
We feel like we're taking crazy pills here. Are we doomed to sleep on a mattress on the floor forever?
Hi, all! My husband and I should be closing on a townhome in a couple of weeks, and we'll be moving from out of state. We're planning to leave a few pieces of essential furniture behind and will buy new ones when we hit town. Looking for recommendations on a furniture store with fair prices, delivery and in home setup/assembly. The specific items we're going to need to replace are:
Large screen TV
TV stand
Office Desk
Diningroom Set
You've all been exceptionally helpful in our big move so far, and I'm thankful for any suggestions you have to offer!
Bonus Points: We need to have a washer/dryer removed from the unit before the movers deliver our stuff. They're old but I believe still functional. If you know a good junk hauler who can be out within a couple days of the request, I'd be in your debt.
Extra Bonus Points: If you have a trusted locksmith who can swap or rekey locks and provide all of the necessary bits of equipment within a couple days of the request, I'd love the referral!
