It would be used for mostly gaming. Thanks!
Hey everyone!
I’m in the market for a 65% or 75% keyboard strictly for gaming. I already have a Logitech MX Keys for work and daily use, so this board would be my secondary keyboard focused on gaming performance.
Because of that, low latency is a must — the Logitech has noticeable input lag and just doesn’t cut it for fast-paced games. I want something snappy and responsive.
My budget is around $80, but I can stretch it to $100 if there’s something really worth it.
That said, it would be a nice bonus if the keyboard is also at least decent for typing — nothing too mushy or fatiguing if I need to use it for casual writing or chat between games.
There are tons of options out there and I’m honestly overwhelmed trying to decide.
If you were in my shoes, what would be your top 3 picks for this kind of use?
Thanks a lot !

Hello. I'm planning to buy a new mechanical keyboard and I have no clue what I want because this would be my first keyboard. I code and play games (Destiny 2, Overwatch 2, etc) and I think I don't need the keypad (but I'm used to it). I went through amazon and saw the MageGee 60% (the cheapest) but people here saying its really bad. Aula F75 has a lot of positive reviews but I have no clue what the keyboard youtubers are talking about (gasket?, stabilizer?). So, any suggestions would be appreciated.
What I want:
1. 75% or full size ( I need arrow keys and function keys )
2. Backlit would be great but not that necessary.
3. I have no clue about feel and sound ( cuz I use my laptop keyboard )
I currently have a Corsair K55 that I bought 4 years ago when I built my PC. I have grown to hate it for multiple reasons. Its big and clunky, the keys travel really far to bottom out, no tactile feel, and most importantly: THE KEYS COME OFF WAYYYY TOO EASY.
The keys literally come off just by sticking to my fingers form the heat moisture. I'm not talking about sweating or clammy hands, I live in Houston and they literally come off just due to the humidity. If my finger goes from one key to the next and I barely scrape the key next to it, it pops off.
I am looking for something that fits the following:
- tactile and clicky with good firm pressure response (if that's even a good description).
- I really like the "slim" style keyboards like the Logitech G915 (just not at that price point) although, this is not a requirement.
- The keys need to be very tight fit and difficult to come off (This is a MUST).
- I would like it to have the directional arrows and a num pad with numbers at the top (an 80% would be okay if fits other desires).
- Backlit preferred due to being in a dark room 100% of the time
Thank you to anyone that has helpful suggestions or insight!
I've been out of touch with the latest MCH Keyboards advances and want to get a new keyboard for around $100. The reason why I say that it gets bonus points if it's easy to find for sale is cause I'm a brazilian abroad on the US, so I have a limited time here to buy stuff.
I've been reading into it and just from what I read, I'd guess my type of switch would be the Brown switches for a balance between working and gaming. I've preferred blues in the past due to the clickiness but I've grown past that now, and would prefer something less noisy.
Anyways, what are your recommendations? I saw a G512 Carbon in a Sam's Club these days for 90 bucks and it seemed pretty good. Anything better than that in the $100 price range?
Keychron makes some pretty good keyboards under $100, available on Amazon. They have many variations - full, TKL, 75%, thin versions (with low-profile switches) - available with generally red, brown, or blue switches. Most of their models have wireless plus wired capability.
I just got my first mech about two weeks ago -- Keychron C2 Full Size Wired Mechanical Keyboard $65 on Amazon.
It's 'hot swappable' meaning you can replace all the switches as needed -- no soldering needed. You can buy it with browns or reds... and then swap in other switches to test them out -- can have everything brown and put blues on the number pad, that sort of thing.
Recently, I've become addicted to this PVP game where typing spells like "Avada Kedavra" and "Expelliarmus" is crucial to the aspect of the game. The faster and more accurately you type- the better chance you have at winning duels. WPM is your biggest weapon.
Because of that, I'm looking to seriously upgrade my keyboard setup. Ideally something fast, responsive, and budget friendly (preferably under $100). I'm especially interested in anything with low latency, high polling rate, or rapid-trigger stuff. I've seen mentions of things like hall effect switches, 8k polling, and magnetic actuation, but I have no idea what any of that means.
Any suggestions or guidance?
hey, im looking for a black rgb mechanic keyboard, with different types of lights that you can change, the f1 f2 f|3 |f4 keys and not more than 100 dollars. any recommendations?
What keyboard should I buy for less than 100 dollars. If possible, it would be with a knob, wireless, and with rgb backlight, but I am open to suggestions.
Any suggestions for a good gaming keyboard under 100 for mainly fortnite/cod preferably no super loud switches but its not the biggest deal and 60-75%. (sorry i literally know the bare minimum about keyboards)
I want to buy a new keyboard after 4 years of using (used by someone before me) rk61, do you have any recommendations? I play mainly games and do some graphics and video montages so i need something else than 60% keyboard
I recently was given 100 dollars and I always wanted a nice keyboard, but I never knew what to get! I have no clue what I want from it other than it being for gaming, and I can customize the keys so that each key can have an individual light. I don’t care for patterns or animations, however. Also I have pretty big hands, so anything below a 85% keyboard is iffy for me
I'm looking for a good mechanical keyboard for casual gaming and primarily for work, Preference is 100% or TKL as I need Navigation Keys (Home, End, Insert) for work.
If smaller keyboards have the navigation shortcuts, any keyboard size is fine!
Max budget - $100-$110
Backlight - Anything - RGB/single color/no backlight
Type - Preferably Wifi/Bluetooth, if not Wired is also fine
What I have my eyes on - Akko 3068B, Ducky One 2, Keychron K2
PS: This is going to be my first mech keyboard purchase
Keychron k8 Pro has Bluetooth and can be remapped in VIA. Fairly affordable and within your budget iirc
Keychron K4 Hotswap, 96% means you get the numpad and still have a decent amount of mousing space
Alternatively, you could go a little overbudget and get a Leopold FC980M, which is very likely the best made 96% prebuilt, and can be optioned with MX Silent Reds for $5 extra
Title, preferably with clicks switches
Edit: im gonna go with the Aula F75, Thanks for the help
I need a keyboard with red switches, I will mainly use it for gaming and just typing. My budget is $100 and I would like it to be customizable trough an app on my pc. Thx ;)

Hama AK 220 is dirt cheap and has a nice typing feel. We have those at school.
hi im in NEED of a new keyboard.
i ordered these russian keycaps that are in the photo above
what's a good keyboard to put them in? i was thinking about getting a hall effect keyboard.
maybe at:
Akko TAC75HE
YUNZII RT80
MCHOSE Jet 75
i currently have a Akko 5075b mechanical keyboard and i love it to death
(plz no 60% keyboards, i need my beloved F key row)🙏
Hello, I have wanted to get a keyboard for a long long time now and I had just gotten 100 dollars. So I was wondering what is a good keyboard (pre-built or not) that is suitable for gaming and just general use?
I just want something mechanical, wireless feels good to type and a full sized board with a numpad, a numpad is necessary because of the type of work I do. I don’t care about gaming because I use an elite controller. I don’t need carbon fiber key caps encrusted with gold or anything and I don’t want to build it but I don’t mind the possibility of customizing down the line. My keyboard will strictly be for work at my home office. Why is it so hard to find something under $100
My options are basically keychron that looks hideous in my opinion and my other option is royal kludge, it looks like a decent budget with all I’m looking for and the asthetics look good. Is there another option? Am I missing something? Why are these things so expensive?
