I’m looking to buy a cooling pad for my Laptop. I’m new to this so I don’t know which would be best. With what I’ve researched I found these two to be convincing, but if there is any better ones out there I’d like to know. My laptop is a Predator Helios 18. Out of these two, which is best?

r/BudgetGamingLaptop on Reddit: Best Laptop cooling pad that actually works? My fans are screaming lately.
July 22, 2025 -

I’ve seen a bunch of cooling pads on Amazon but not sure if they actually work or just make noise.

I use an RTX 4060 laptop (Lenovo Legion) and during gaming it gets really warm — especially on the left palm rest and under the GPU side.

Does anyone here use a cooling pad that made a noticeable difference? Not expecting miracles, just better temps or comfort would be good.

Open to suggestions if you’ve tested any under $50. Bonus if it’s quiet and has USB passthrough.

r/GamingLaptops on Reddit: Best cooling pads for laptop performance and heat control 2026?
April 20, 2026 -

My laptop gets pretty hot during gaming sessions and I’m starting to notice some performance drops, so I’m thinking about getting a cooling pad.

I’ve seen different types (multiple fans, high RPM, etc.) but I’m not sure which ones actually help with temps vs just adding noise.

For those using cooling pads, did it make a noticeable difference in temps or performance? What are you currently using?

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions, here are the most commonly recommended cooling pads for gaming laptops:

Llano V12 / V10 – most common pick, sealed suction design, noticeable 7–10°C temp drop for gaming laptops.

Flydigi BS2 Pro – quieter alternative with similar cooling performance, good for long sessions with headphones.

Klim Everest – solid mid-range option, decent cooling and multiple speed levels, not too expensive.

IETS GT500 – very strong cooling performance, but louder compared to others.

Klim Turbofrost – high-end option that occasionally goes on sale, similar performance tier to Llano.

r/GamingLaptops on Reddit: What's the best laptop cooling pad now?
February 13, 2025 -

Last I checked, the IETS fan cooling pads on Amazon were the real deal: the system with the fan and foam seal on a stand work.

Since then, I went to a Razer store and saw a prototype that is now on sale that's basically the same thing (but with a Razer pricetag). On Amazon, there are a few brands doing this now: IETS, Aicheson, Llano (and probably some others that might lean a bit too far in the direction of basically being Temu).

There are also variants of all these products within the brands--mostly in terms of fan RPM (putting aside RBG stuff).

What's the best one now? Which ones can change speed to be more silent, or have the best RPM for cooling?

I probably need to repaste my Asus CPU anyway but it might be time to get a real laptop stand and none of these are low budget.

Best Laptop Cooling Pads for Gaming Right Now: Our Tested Picks
January 30, 2026 - This doesn't mean that they won't work entirely, but if air is able to escape around the edges of the pad, it will be less effective than one that seals that air into a defined channel. Because of this and the wide range of designs available, and subsequently their prices, not all cooling pads are created equally. February 24, 2023 - Best cooler I've used yet and I've tried plenty and built my own too. ... These are metal feet you stick onto the bottom of the laptop wherever you want to lift it up an inch or so. $16.99 and does the same if not better than any $30-$50 "cooling pad" I have used to date.

May 1, 2025 -

Hey folks, I've been running Cyberpunk on my MSI Titan 18 HX and man, this thing gets hot.

Looking into the KLIM Turbofrost and Flydigi BS1, but not sure if they actually fit an 18-inch monster like this.

Money’s not an issue — I just want the coolest (literally) match for my top-tier laptop. Any solid recommendations?

It gets really hot on the top so I’m wondering if it’s would be worth getting a cooling pad for the bottom and if it would even make a difference? Also with the unique way it opens to vent would it sit weird on the pad?

r/GamingLaptops on Reddit: Do cooling pads actually help gaming laptops, or do they make things worse?
July 12, 2025 -

I have a high-end gaming laptop (ROG Strix Scar 16, RTX 4080) and I’m wondering if it’s worth buying a cooling pad.

Some people say cooling pads reduce temps by 5–10°C, especially during gaming or rendering, while others say they’re useless or even push more dust into the laptop and clog the vents over time.

So I’m genuinely confused.

  • Do cooling pads actually help with temps or performance?

  • Can they mess with airflow design and make thermals worse?

  • Is dust build-up really a problem if used daily?

  • Any long-term users here who saw a clear benefit?

Would love to hear some real experiences from fellow gamers or creators.

Thanks in advance!

I ordered this cooling pad for my 2070 and i7 10750h laptop, as it tends to run hot, cpu in upper 90s.

Do you think these actually cool down the laptop with the fans, or is the biggest difference with these that the laptop gets more air, cause it's lifted up and not on the mousepad / desk?

r/MSILaptops on Reddit: Cooling Pad Recommendations
April 10, 2024 -

Hey y’all! I asked this on another subreddit a few weeks ago and unfortunately didn’t get an answer, so I thought I’d ask here instead. I currently have the "havit HV-F2056 15.6"-17" Laptop Cooler Cooling Pad", which I got as a replacement for a hand me down my dad gave me (due to it making a lot of noise and breaking down). While the cooling pad I have now is silent, it doesn’t cool my laptop down enough.

So I’m here to ask this subreddit for any recommendations for a cooling pad. Here are some qualities I’m looking for:

  • Keeps my laptop cool while gaming (Like really cool. It’s spring time so gaming while being in a not so air conditioned house is a miserable experience :,))

  • Silent or pretty quiet at the least

  • Bigger than or the same size as 16.5 x 10.5 inches (size of my laptop)

  • I do not have a budget in mind, so price isn’t a problem. I’m willing to save up for anything.

Hello all,
A while ago purchased an Casper Excalibur G770.12xx, and looking for stand/cooling pad that overall noise while also provide a better viewing angle. Actually this is for my girl and she doesn't use mousepad and her table is enough too big. I'm actually not looking for high price things so my budget about like 60$.

There is the laptop she uses - https://amzn.eu/d/alffY0n

And this is the bottom part she uses - https://prnt.sc/oyYe1I1fOrru

Unfortunately she hadn't idea about computers and she purchase that laptop by herself.

I know there is a lot kind of cooling pad and i don't know how should i search on internet so i need to know what you guys think, and share your experiences with cooling pads in general.

I'm just looking for better viewing angels and hopefully alleviate temperatures.
