I know a lot of handheld vacuum cleaners wouldn't be BIFL due to them having batteries, but does anyone have a recommendation for one on the market currently?
We have a full size vacuum for big clean ups, but we have a handheld Dyson from about 7 years ago that has started to show it's age in a big way and wanted to upgrade / buy something decent.
We have cats so something that can accomodate hair would be great
Hello! 👋🏼 What would you say is the overall best cordless vacuum for dog hair on hardwood floors? We have no carpet or area rugs but we have 4 big dogs (that shed a lot). Just looking for something that won’t easily clog. I don’t mind having to empty multiple times, we are just trying to avoid clogging! (Run time also isn’t a huge issue as this would be just for the downstairs). Thanks in advance!
*edit: i am open to all price ranges! (if it’s an investment, that’s fine!) although ~ $400 - $600 would be the most realistic.

I’m trying to get my mom a vacuum for Christmas and I’m wondering what is the best vacuum cleaner for dog hair. My budget is about $500.
My house is a wreck with pet hair and my current vaccume has to be cleaned out every single time clogged with hair. Any suggestions for my sortie girl and her dog brother?
I have a pug/terrier mix and she sheds like crazy. My biggest issue is that I don't have a good vacuum that can not only clean floors of dog hair but also be used on furniture, especially the bed.
Does anyone have any good product suggestions? Thank you!
Best cordless vac? I have a vacuum but my toddler loves to unplug it and play with the cord, yikes! Be nice to have a cordless to use as a daily.
About 50/50 carpet and hard floors. We do have a golden retriever so definitely has to handle dog fluff!
Prefer under $400 but would go as high as $600 if truly worth it.
I have a bathtub in my washroom and my hair keeps getting stuck all around the tub after I bathe. I don’t have long hair but cleaning it daily after I bathe is a hassle (especially because I have roommates). Budget is under 50 usd. I was looking at the Black + Decker DustBuster handheld vacuums but I’m not sure if that’s a good choice.
Im looking for something that can charge and doesn’t need to be plugged in & something with STRONG suction.
I have black interior car and a yellow lab, so my whole car is coated in her fur. I’ve always accepted it, but I want to take better care of my car now. Any suggestions?
The idea of taking a pet hair roller to my entire car sounds exhausting. I’m looking for something effective and efficient.
Hey guys, I’m drowning in pet hair and my current vacuum is basically just pushing it around at this point. Need something that actually picks up fur from carpets, hardwood, and furniture without getting clogged every five minutes. If it can handle long hair without turning into a tangled mess, even better. Found this list on reddit:

Budget is around $200–$600, but I’ll go higher if it’s really worth it. My place has a mix of carpet, hardwood, and some rugs, so I need something that can handle all of that without struggling. Also wouldn’t mind if it’s good for dust and allergens since pet dander is everywhere.
Tried a few before but either the brush got jammed up or it was a nightmare to clean. Not trying to drop cash on another overpriced dust blower. What’s the best one I can get this year??? Thank you.
Hi - I’m shopping for a cordless vacuum to be used in a home with all hard surface floors save for one area rug. We have a cat, so are primarily focused on picking up her hair as well as my own longish strands, along with the tracking of kitty litter and the normal debris that finds its way to the floor.
What do you recommend?
We have a corded Miele as a backup, so am really looking to improve convenience to grab & go vs planning for a deep clean.
I'm looking for some recommendations for a handheld vacuum. I have a lot of cats and the hair is everywhere. The attachments on my regular vacuum cleaner don't do much to get it off my couch.
Mine is going kaput and I’m tired of replacing them once a year. I don’t have a big shedder, but the vacuums have a hard time keeping up with her hair. I’m not interested in robot vacuums. Any recommendations?
I have tried googling, but does anyone here have an oppinion?
Edit: I have a central vacuum cleaner that does the job well - but it takes me 2-3 min to take it put and take it back, so I am looking for something easyer.
I have tried chomchom but it seems to mess up the fabric of my sofa. I like the way the vacuum does it, so i am looking for cordless-vacuum-ideas-and-experienses.
I have a white long haired cat who sheds like nobody’s business. I’m looking for something that can be used to vacuum our couch and cars.
Ideally something that has a wide attachment for the couch cushions and a smaller option for corners, and ideally $100 or under. It doesn’t have to be perfect, I just need less cat hair in my eyes.
To preface, i own a Bissel Pet Hair eraser and it works just OK. I love having a handheld vacuum which I can quickly grab and vacuum my couch, but I find that this thing do tend to miss a lot of hair, and I think part of that is due to the brushes relying on a small strip of material which pulls the hair off the couch.
So I was wondering, is there a better HANDHELD vacuum for getting pet hair off furniture, or is this as good as it gets for handhelds?
I saw Dyson has a Car and Boat handheld, and it made me wonder if the spin brush on that model would perform better than what I have.
