I'm visiting London soon and the studio tour is sold-out.
I keep refreshing in case something gets cancelled but no luck so far.
What else can I do besides the tour? Any suggestions?
UPDATE: Thank you everyone for your suggestions but I DID IT. I found a ticket for the exact date I needed it for! I literally felt like Harry must have felt when he was told he was a wizard.
If anyone else is looking for last minute tickets my advice is this: check out (LEGIT) third party websites and KEEP. REFRESHING.

Definitely keep trying because the Studio Tour is incredible. One smaller thing that's great though is visiting the House of MinaLima. It's basically an art show from the designers for all 8 HP movies and the 3 Fantastic Beasts movies.

August 28, 2022Thoughts/tips on the London Harry Potter studio tour?
I went today and there’s a few tips I would follow:- BOOK TICKETS IN ADVANCE!! Tickets sell like a month in advance but if you want to keep checking the website you could get a cancellation Try to book earlier in the day - once the tour starts, your in a cinema (don’t want to give spoilers..😉) and once that’s over your left to your own devices so can walk around and take as long as you like. I would say 3pm booking latest. A lot of people dress up and get right into the Hogwarts Magic so if you want to wear any magic gear you will definitely fit in! The Green Screen options are great fun! Highly recommend queuing for the opportunities and the queues don’t take too long. Can’t stress this enough, Take a break! Half way through there’s a cafe. You don’t have to buy anything but take a seat for a few minutes. Maybe bring some snacks as the cafe is fairly pricey if your bring a family. It’s a fair bit of walking so a sit down and rest is rather nice. There’s no need to rush though it, take your time and soak it in! Which leads me on to my next tip… Don’t rush! Once your in you can take as long as you like looking around so don’t feel like you have to get round it, again take in the magic!!! Try not to film/photos. I know It’s great fun to look back but being in the moment and enjoying the magic is way forward! Absolutely take some selfies but so many people walk around filming the whole thing and I think it really ruins “being in the moment” and the magic of the whole thing! This one’s personal but Butter Beers are gross! Butter beer ice cream is the way forward and highly recommend that! The shop is ridiculously expensive and half empty! Don’t get your hopes up for the shop. I absolutely recommend going, even if your not a massive potter head. It’s a magical exciting experience and I highly recommend young and old to go! Just got back from a full day at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter (yep, that's the full name LOL) and damn… it was amazing. But also overwhelming if you don’t plan it right.
Some quick thoughts that might help if you're going soon:
Pros
The sets are insane. Hogwarts Great Hall, Diagon Alley and the full-size Hogwarts Express are worth the ticket alone.
You'll nerd out over the props and behind-the-scenes stuff - especially the animatronics and makeup areas.
Butterbeer is a thing. It's weirdly good. Try it at least once.
You can walk inside Privet Drive. Childhood unlocked.
Cons
The gift shop is... dangerous. Like €€€ dangerous.
It’s crowded. Even off-peak, expect lines.
Food is mid. Eat before or after.
Advice for first-timers
Book way in advance - no tickets on-site.
Take your time. The average visit is 3–4 hours, but I could've easily stayed 5.
Bring a power bank. You'll take hundreds of photos. In my case videos
Go early in the day if you want the best lighting in the outdoor section (like the Knight Bus and Privet Drive).

Hey Potterheads, I’m going to be in London just for a quick weekend.
Has anyone done one of the (many) Harry Potter walking tours in the city, and do you recommend it, OR should I just follow a self guided walking tour based on one of the (also many) online blogs?
Any other must do Potter experiences in the city, please let me know :) we have limited time so nothing outside of the city please.
