Here are my favorites: The Society: Sadly only one season (a production casualty to COVID), but this Lord of the Flies-type show could fulfill the “adventure” vibe you’re looking for. Locke & Key: It’s one of those shows that I wish I could live within its show-universe because the concept is so fun. Friday Night Lights: You don’t have to like football to like this critically-acclaimed teen show. The Order: College-set and supernatural, but still really fun. Out-of-the-Box YA Adventure Shows: The 100: Another teen Lord of the Flies-type show. Be warned, it gets heavily sci-fi in later seasons. 3%: I believe this is a Brazilian show but the English dubs are decent. It’s like Squid Game meets Hunger Games with YA characters. Non-Netflix: Veronica Mars: Teen detective show. The main character is very likable. The quality gets weaker in later seasons and I didn’t love the follow-up movie. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: This one’s always on best-of lists for a reason. The monsters are metaphors for high school. The Vampire Diaries: Supernatural based but it’s got a fun ensemble. Does anyone have like TV shows like outer banks, stranger things and like Riverdale S1, like high school adventurous kinda of TV show, I mean I am currently watching Riverdale and I really liked season 1 it is like the kind of TV shows that I like but after season 1 it starts getting bad, so does anybody have good TV shows in that genre??

It's not on netflix (I think) but you may like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, if you have access to it. Some people dislike the first season but it gets much better as it goes on.

A year and a half ago (or so), I started watching tv series with my teenage son. I really enjoy spending this time with him and having shows to talk about together. But after watching several different series, we are at a point where we don’t know what to watch next. We have already watched Cobra Kai (and yes, part of the last season drops soon but that won’t take long to watch), Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Stranger Things, and Fallout (on Prime). I tried to get him to watch Locke and Key and Travelers, but he didn’t enjoy either.
Can anyone please give me some suggestions? We have access to Netflix, Hulu, and Prime. Thanks!!!!
