Here are a few that haven’t been mentioned here: When Evil Lurks has to be included - love it or hate it one of the year’s most discussed horror movies. I personally loved it. Unwelcome was a Shudder release that I feel not enough ppl saw. It somehow manages to be not campy movie about killer leprechauns that mixed folk horror, home invasion horror and horror comedy all together. Hell House Origins - I haven’t watched any since the original because of so-so reviews. Put this one in and tbh it delivered on some solid, if not formulac, scares. The main protagonist is completely obnoxious though.
What is the best 2023 horror movie you have seen?
Watched over 200 horrors this year and plenty from 2023, among the best of these is When Evil Lurks.
