We started using a duvet cover without an insert with a cotton blanket/bedspread on top when the weather is warm, and it's a nice bit of weight (and you can take off the blanket or fold it down if needed if you get too warm in the night). From some of the old posts here, the cool ones are either not in king, or discontinued, or may be of lower quality. Any help is appreciated, AC bills are too high in this heat wave, and the regular (down) comforter from Macys that has served us well is too warm now. We have gotten used to the weight of a comforter and like it so going with just sheets or something else is not really an option.

How about a cotton blanket in king size? Like Vareld. That’s what we use when the comforter gets too warm. Cotton has a little weight to it but isn’t too hot.
