I want a cheap iPhone 11 screen replacement, and I don't know if any brands are legit. Can anyone give me recommendations of what to get?

I've looked on Reddit and google. Can use genuine apple screen and copy True Tone over rewrite it. If grind down the IC and replace IC with old screen?
The screen on my daughter’s phone is completely black, so I’m attempting to replace it myself.
I was able to get the screen adhesive separated with ease, however when it came off. There is a metal plate behind it rather than the exposed battery like in the pictures on the instructions. Can someone advise how to get the metal plate off?
My iphone11 display got broken. Phone doesn’t have any damage. Only display glass broken from fall. Should i get the display changed now as its costing half the price of the original cost of the phone. Is it worth to get the phone display relaced? Only thing that i’m concerned is about the software updates period as i will get the software updates for another 1 year. Is it worth to get the phone display replaced just for 1 year of usage duration. Or can I use the iphone without any issues even after 1 year?
I cracked my iPhone 11 screen and I'm seeking advice on repair options. From what I understand my options are:
-Have my screen replaced at an apple store with an OEM screen for ~$200
-Have my screen replaced elsewhere and pay $120-$150, but not have an OEM screen
-Do the repair myself and get away paying less than $100, but risk further damage and still not have an OEM screen
My questions for you all are:
-Is there any way I can order an OEM screen?
-Is it worth the extra $ to have apple do the work?
-Do you have any tips/tricks for doing a screen repair?
-Is there any chain of shops you either recommend or have had a negative experience with?
I’m on small budget since I’m upgrading next year, I want to spend 40-50 dollars on a good looking screen. I was at dinner with a few friends and it fell from my pocket shattering the screen. Yes I have glass In my hand as I type this. (And yes I have a case on)
Idk if this is the right sub but,,
My parents recently bought me an iPhone 11, obviously I was scared of damaging it so I got a case and a plastic/glass (idk) screen protector right away as the phone is expensive. I’ve not even had the phone 3 weeks and I dropped it accidentally, I thought the multiple huge cracks right across the screen were on the screen protector, but I realised today that they aren’t 🥲 my parents are going to kill me, so i need to get the screen replaced ASAP. There are a few phone/tech shops in my local town that do repairs so I’m planning to go to one of them but I’m just wondering what the price (very roughly ofc because ik it’s hard to know a definitive price) would be? And would a screen replacement be the best option? I know nothing abt technology but I do know that if my dad founds out I dropped and cracked my new £600 phone he WILL kill me.
Edit: also, if I get a screen repair from a shop that isn’t an Apple Store, will it still look and feel pretty much exactly like my phone does now?
Hi everyone, my phone screen cracked so badly that the ink is showing. is this fixable and can anyone point me to a reputable seller of replacement screens? I'm kind of paranoid seeing as to how the phone can detect if the screen is an "unknown part", there are shops that I know I can go to but i'm broke lol. I'd love to hear your recommendations, thank you in advance :)
I'm thinking of replacing my broker iphone 11 display with a aftermarket display and a battery too. i don't really remember the ios version but i think it was ios 16. i read somewhere on the internet that i might lost the true tone feature if i don't transfer the ic thingy. my question is will there any more feature that i will be lost if i replace my screen ? for example face recognition.
I shattered my iPhone 11 Pro screen and I’d like to fix it myself as the process doesn’t look too complicated. However, I’m in need of recommendations for a credible website to order the screen from. I’ve seen prices range from $70 to around $500 which makes me feel uneasy about ordering one from anywhere until I get some recommendations.
Remember, if you repair it yourself you will lose True Tone as well as water resistance. Be careful around the Face ID module, it’s easy to break. Your warranty will also be invalid. I buy all my replacement screens off eBay. I get the ones that are Apple refurbished screens. That means that someone replaced the glass on a cracked display so it’s the original OLED panel. Those will be more expensive. Don’t cheep out buying a screen. But don’t spend more money then you would spend just having Apple fix the phone. At that point just have Apple do it.
For this model I HIGHLY recommend just taking it to Apple.
I did a repair on an iPhone 11 Pro, the screen I put on it is an OEM pull from another phone. However, in settings it shows a message saying the phone can’t verify that the screen is an original Apple display. Are the original screens paired to the board?
I’m pretty sure it’s OEM, I don’t think they even make aftermarket OLEDs for them yet anyways.
There’s nothing you can do to fix this besides getting it replaced at Apple. This is something they chose to do with all 11 models.
They are paired with the board. Not that it matters, I feel the code is just used to scare people. The message will happen if the screen is ever changed and only apple can clear it as far as I know. No big deal tho.
Edit: it will work just fine.
Had a nasty crack in my iPhone for about a year+ now that slowly killed off the right side of my screen. Every 3 months or so more and more of the right side of my screen became unusable. As of right now I can BARELY punch in my password, skip ads on YouTube or hit send on Imessages. I was looking around today for a new iPhone 13 but the total cost after its all said and done is a little under 1,000. Not that I cant afford it but I really like my 11. It worked fine until today when the screen eventually got TOO bad. Apple wants $299 to repair. What's the give or take price at most repair shops? I am in NYC/CT area and its a regular iPhone 11 no pro or max. New screen does not have to be OEM but that is preferred.
Hey everyone,
My iPhone 11 Pro Max screen just cracked and I’m trying to decide what to do.
For anyone who has recently replaced their screen — how much did it cost you? And is it worth going for the original screen, or is a duplicate/third-party screen good enough?
I’m getting mixed answers from local shops, so I’d love to hear real experiences:
How much did you pay?
Was the quality of the duplicate screen okay (brightness, touch, True Tone)?
Any issues after replacement?
Would you recommend original or duplicate?
Thanks in advance! 🙏
I have a friend that broke their iphone 11 screen. I know these screen replacements are going for around $200. Does anyone know where you can get them cheaper? Also does anyone know if theres any special tools needed. I have repaired up to an IPhone 7 so i have the necessary tools for that. Im wondering if any special tools are needed to do an 11 as paying someone to fix it will probably be too costly
There is a lot of risk involved in a screen repair for this phone. I have trouble with the ribbon cables. But you have to be super careful around the camera because the camera and Face ID can be broken really easily. Also if you do it you will lose True Tone. Before you make a decision try turning true tone off for a day and see what it’s like inside out side in the dark etc. if you don’t like it you will have to have your phone fixed by Apple or an apple certified center. Apple charges $199 Apple stores are currently closed so call 1-800-myapple and they can initiate the repair over the phone.
CrazyParts in Australia iPhone 11 screen costs about 180AUD
